hello everyone and thank you all for your kind words at the loss of my aunt ,im relly down at preasent and dont no how much more i can take of all this dont no how im going to get through next week ,and then to top it of had letter from hospital oh gota go see surgion next month so its getting near and want it all just to go away me body is in overdrive at preasent chat to u all soon thank you all for your support regards elaine xx

Hi Caz, Ann and Deanna, yes I'm still here Deanna, I'll get round to it one day.
Ann in Glos, don't ever call yourself a fraud, this thread is for everyone to moan, sing, yodel, do whatever they like, it is OUR thread. You have earned the right to moan anyway by your operation, anyone who's had one, most of us, know how hard it is to get over.
Last week when I had the reaction to my chemo and my feet and hands hurt like hell, I wanted to come on here and moan, but I couldn't walk to get here, otherwise you'd have all signed off and left me to it.

I've asked before, has anyone seen Joyce JP about today, I hope she is alright and just gone out for the day.

Doctor has refered him to a child pysocologisT (sorry spelling) so will see what they have to say about him but Mary i will try cutting out the things you mention..

Y Caz you've hit the nail on the head, my life does have it's bizarre moments!!
Unbelievably, I've had another WOW moment today.

I've just been contacted by someone researching the family of my father's first wife who died at sea in the Pacific in Nov 1940. My Dad died in 1974, and I took over the care of some papers which related to his wife's schooling and work and references etc. Since 1974 I've been trying to find a relative to whom I could turn them over in good faith. I posted a "trying to find" note about a year ago with no response. Today I received a very nice email with the e-address of her nephew, who is a very keen family tree enthusiast. Now I can pass the items along, knowing they will be respected by the recipient. I couldn't bring myself to throw them out if, by chance,in my lifetime, I could find her family. I know my Dad would be pleased.
Although I have had 2 exciting moments today, I am truthfully fighting another downward slide, pushed the Citalopram up to 50 mg yesterday (from 40mg) for a few days to give me a boost.
Life is truly chaotic here, but I believe I am doing what i am supposed to be, that I am in the right place right now. if I could stop wanting to sleep multiple times during the day. . . .

There is such a wealth of knowledge on here.Mary thanks for that post, my lass reacts terribly to certain additives, I think its strongly linked to her poor behaviour.

Kerry a couple of suggestions re ADHD - havin raised 2 children with it and now a couple of grandchildren.
We muddled along when my own childrenw ere small, tried Ritalin for one but the crashes were dreadful.
Best dietary effect was the following:
No food colouring, esp red,purple and orange,
No additives such as MSG, nitrates and nitrites (no processed meats),
No apples,grapes or bananas (they all contain high amounts of phenol which stimulates).
No cane sugar if possible, used honey, maple syrup,corn syrup to sweeten, now we use Xylitol with great success.
I remember when my daughter Megan started on the diet (she is challenged and had a very hard time with learning disabilities, exacerbated by being unable to sit for 30 seconds), after a month on the diet, her teacher phoned and asked if she was on medication, because her attention span had increased from 30 secs to 15 minutes in one month.
At that time the Dr wanted to sedate me, rather than treat the child, I was certain I was right so started her on the Feingold diet, had an amazing effect.
Hope this helps a little, don't take no for an answer if you believe you're right.

I know what that took, and I also know that the next time will be just as hard.

I could NEVER have gone on a bus. IF I plucked up the courage to go up town.. I walked. Or I got a taxi... they were quite cheap where I lived.
And it is a dreadful thing. We manage to cure ourselves and then after perhaps going out every day for a month.... we can't go out and put our washing out the next day!!
Such a cruel thing, but we do get there so keep on keeping on. ;-0)

I love this thread but I am never able to keep up with you all.

Maybe not Ann but it shows you are not ready to do more strenuous things yet, enjoy while you can because if you try to rush things you will regret it.

Hi Caz, think I am getting there. still very sore and not able to do much so OH is still doing most things in the house. Have to have the dressing changed tomorrow again. I will be glad when I get my energy back again. I guess that will be when i can do things and lose the invalid mentality, sometime it is self perpetuating. although at the moment I know I can't lift, stretch etc. But I seem content to sit playing on here or reading. That is not me really.

Hi Kerry and Ann, how are you now Ann, feeling a bit better I hope. Are you still being waited on by hubby?

Kerry my grandson was horrible, so hyperactive it upset him, we cut out everything with colours in and only gave him pure juice and such. Big improvement.

Good of your neighbour wasn't it Mary, I think I could do with a bike but I'd fall off, no balance, would get my legs trying to work though.
Enjoy your do tonight, you deserve it, you seem to have an extremely bizzarre(sp) life just lately with all the things happening to you.

Im taking my son toDocs today at 5 as his school is concerned he has ADHA..I personally dont think he has anything apart from being a naughty boy..Im sure schoold /doctors label "naughty" children too easily with it being a medical thing...Anyway i will take him along and see what Doc says...

My mornings tend to be hectic helping with the children, yesterday we were tied up with the police because Colleen's licence plate had been stolen off her vehicle overnight.
I am delighted this morning as my new neighbour knocked on my door to say she has found me an exercise bike. I've been looking for a secondhand one to continue my physio exercises at home.
She's picked one up for $10. Nice to have a neighbour one can talk to, the experience at my last house was enough to put me off permanently.
I've convinced her to have a look at the Flylady website and now she's decluttering - keeps bringing me boxes of jigsaw puzzles to take to the Home for the Aged where I work. (she must have had hundreds!!) The residents love puzzles, so it's nice to have a new one to try.
What am I going to do with my hair before the awards dinner tonight. I should have a wig for special occasions.!!

Haven't seen one cross word exchanged on this thread. It's like coming home to our friends. Not only are probs shared but happy moments too.

I'm heading to an awards dinner this evening,at which my Colleen will be honoured with a Women's Opportunity Award, from the regional Soroptimist club. The award cheque received will be a help with her educational costs. And a free fancy dinner will be nice too.
