GranOfOzRubySlippers Report 18 Mar 2008 11:21

Hi everyone, have been printing MIL tree all day and photos, have repaired lots of old photos as well. Repairing damaged photos is a hobby, well one of them. Have some photos over 100 years old of rellies. Unfortunatly due to age they are starting to decay, thank goodness for computers.

I know family trees are never finished, but have stressed myself out over it not being finished. I have not had time to get all the children in, so have just got the direct lines on for the time being. I hope she will be pleased.

I miss being on here, and have not caught up on all the posts or PMs yet. Getting there a page at a time.

Carole, I often click my ruby slippers, and they are slippers, go with the dressing gown and pyjamers. And there is no place like home.

Bye for now and be kind to yourselves

Gail

gill, do NOT listen to that little voice. Stay on here and don't go near the contentious threads. You are going to have a positive day today.

Everyone, washed my own hair under the shower today - been having strip washes and very shallow baths and not showers as I didn't think the wound was ready for hot water. But today I decided to go fr it and psychologically feel much better for it.

bless him, I can hear the hoover going so OH is doing h*work before we go to meet friends for coffee.

Malc, orry to hear about your cold, hope it is better now.

Carole, you enjoy your shop around. Do you give the loos marks out of ten? you could write a book.

ben if we didn't have bad thing's happen to us we wouldn't know when good things happen.it's just life. we just have to except thing's we can't change and work on the one's we can. it's about having a forfilled life. like the saying there's two sides to every story well there's two way's to look at life.only the black tend to hit us in the face and light we have to look for.

Hi Ben, well done trying to resist the rituals. Nothing bad, or no curse will happen to you in connection with not carrying out a ritual, thats for certain. You might have an acident, but it will not be anything to do with having not done a ritual. If it's going to happen it will happen what ever.

Gill how's your day been? x Don't answer any remark they make, by doing that you give them fuel to their fire!! xx

Caz I'll leave the job of counting how many names are on here up to you!! When you run out of fingers, use your toes!! xx

Malc did you make your appointments today? xx

Deanna my doc told me if you are aneamic they have to find where the blood loss is in you. Has your doc done that? In my case it was periods, so I had a coil fitted to stop the loss each month. xx

Lovely to see new names on here. That means new experience in areas that can help others!! xx

Off to bed now. nite nite xxx

Hello All, colleen, in UK we plant daffs in the autumn to flower in spring. should imagine it is the same where you are.

Ben It is absolutely certain there is no link between OCD and bad things that happen. No such thing as a curse. Anything bad that happens is just bad luck, misfortune, accident.

Deanna, hope to see you bouncing when the iron kicks in then.

Caz, hope the feet get better again soon.

Gill, glad you have decided to ignore the sad people.

SueM you grump all you like on here.

Malc, where are you? are you OK?
Kathy I like pea and ham soup too, mmmm! can smell it from here.

If I have forgotten anyone who has posted recently .....sorry.

Hello gang o' mine.
Another long sleep last night, feeling a bit better today. Had to go an hour away for a specialists appt, related to a car accident 6 1/2 years ago. I was dreading driving that far, and finding parking in the city. Lo and behold, didn't they send a chauffeur for me!! I felt like Lady Muck riding in style an hour each way. Discovered I was much more relaxed sitting in the back seat with a cautious driver, than I am behind the wheel. Discovered something else, I was counting the trees . . .
Now home, an extra day off today, time to make a meal. Roast beef with spuds and baby carrots, and a salad on the side. Who is coming over, got lots., smells yummy, after cooking in the slow cooker all day.
I love hambone pea soup , but now I can't eat pork I'll be going without, but thanks for the offer of a bowl of that heavenly food.
The best news of the day is . . . .the snow is melting!!! There's only a 4' pile by my drive now, the roads are almost clear, sun's been out all day.
Anyone know can I plant daffodil bulbs once the ground thaws or do I have to wait till autumn to put them in? I HAVE to have daffs in my garden. All I'll need then is a flagpole for my ddraig goch.
Ordered a welcome sign for the front porch already.
Spring is coming - I can feel it in the air.
Good evening to us all,
hugs
maxiMary

Hello all,

Just got out of bed, stuck there today with pain and feeling really down.

I could do with a damn good weep but can't because hubby has put up with so much since Jan 4th with looking after me post op. I don't want to upset him too.

I decided to start posting again on gen, jokes included, because I know I shouldn't feel so sorry for myself when others are in a much worse position. I promised I would only be a misery on this thread!

We also have to make a huge decision about our house as I will be on incapacity benefit only and the loss of my salary puts us in a very difficult financial position - that isn't helping my black cloud.

Sorry to be such a grump, I admire you all for what you are each going through and trying to cope with.

Deanna Report 17 Mar 2008 18:12

Yes Ann I did, but this is something else.

I am lethargic to the point of being asleep on my feet!
I was so happy when the doctor told me that I was very anaemic... I told her that too, because it gave me a reason why I was like this.
Hope I'm gonna be a busy bee again! ;-0)
