Hi gang, just got up an hour ago, fell asleep at computer so went for a nap. Hi Jenny and Angela glad you are still with us, You sound a bit brighter Jenny, has your oh found out yet about glasses? My oh has to take me so he knows the price before we come out of shop, I have vary focals though, not much help as I am nearly blind in one eye and I haven't got used to compensating for it yet.
Can I have a big moan? I am in so much pain I don't know where to put myself. It is the new one that doctor thinks is FM, can't sit down, can't stand up, walking is bad as is it but this is not nice at all. I have taken some Nurofen but it doesn't seem to be helping, when hubby gets back from papershop I will get into a nice hot bath and hope it relieves it. My leg spasms have been going non-stop since I got up at three this morning, I feel drained by it, ( got up because of pain). Does anyone else have this pain and if so what do you do to ease it? I wouldn't care but I don't even know what FM is, hubby is back so will go and have a hot soak. Sorry to be so miserable but I honestly don't know what to do.

HI everyone I'm back from IOW.Just had a quick look through the last 20 pages!! posted since I have been away. I am so sorry to hear of Joyce's death RIP Jenny, I am so glad you have come onto this thread, it is a great help to all. After reading what you have gone through I guess you must have had a very low point that made you need to get it all out. My problems stem back to my childhood also, but gradually over the years I have been able to talk about certain things, the more you talk the easier it gets, then you start to manage the problem, takes time though. I find something triggers me off and I get real bad but now I know when it is happening, can't stop it but it does mean that the periods of deep depression get longer in between. Hi Angela, glad to meet you. Well IOW went quite well but mum and I have decided that this will be the last time we go to take flowers to the Solent for dad. We have been 5 times now and the journey is getting too much for both of us. Takes us nearly a full day. Mum is not an affectionate person but she felt it knowing this was a final goodbye. Been to see her today and she isn't feeling well at all. anyway, much love to everyone, hope you all have a good Easter, hugs to all and see you tomorrow Janet

Morning all, well it's a beautiful sunny day today, but bitterly cold wind, the grass is showing in spots, I am absolutely stuffed from our brunch at the "maple sugar shack". huge pancakes, with butter and maple syrup, scrambled sggs, fried spud chunks, sausages and baked beans, and a heaping helping of maple syrup. Had a walk through the wood, saw the trees being tapped (by long plastic tubes now, unstead of buckets), saw the processing shed, and of couse came home with a supply of syrup and honey and maple lollipops. Funnily enough, the children were all proven highly sensitive to cane sugar when they were tested, but maple syrup is fine. A good outing and I didn't lose anybody. sarah was really good for once, enjoyed the hay ride, squealed most of the way, gareth thought it was a train and kept asking "where Thomas?".. I took my ash walking stick, which I bought in the Lake district in 1960! A couple of people asked about it!! Now I have to get ready for work, hugs all round. Mary

Hello everyone, hope you are all ok.
I am quiet cheery today, I really think I must try and look to the future, rather than dwelling on the past.
Hubby wont be too pleased when he gets back from the pub though. I just had my eyes tested again and they have deteriorated, so decided to have some new frames also. £166 altogether, can't wait to see his face when he gets in.

Hi all, just sneaked on lol but have to get ready and brave the elements in a bit, have errands to do in the city. If the wind would drop it would be lovely out there, bright and sunny with blue skies and fluffy white clouds, probably full of snow lol! Catch you all later, take care, Gill, chin up and fingers up to anyone who is not nice about benefits, as you will see from Malc's thread, I know what it is like and am sick of scrimping and scraping. I will go and blow my euromillions winnings from last night, all £6.70/£6.90 of it lol (Can't remember what it said on the site now, but not a lot lol) Love to all, thanks for all pms etc and I will respond later tonight.
Marion, fingers crossed hon. Lizxxxx

Jenny glad you are OK, we wondered where you are (one of the penalties of posting on this thread is that when you don't appear we nag!!!)
Malc, where are you. Re your benefits thread. The people that matter know why you are on benefits and know you would rather not be so don't beat yourself up about it.
Liz, hope you have a good weekend and we will see you when you can sneak time on here.
Gill, glad you posted although sorry you are a bit down. If you can't write your 'story' on here, have you thought about writing it all down in a private diary?
YCaz, Good that you want to stay up and doesn't a good laugh make you feel better.
Carole I can't believe you remembered all those names without a list, well done. I don't think you are the air brain you say you are!!!
Jules, how are things today? Feeling OK?
Elaine, you will cope with the hospital when you have to, i think you are stronger than you feel you are. Ann GG, What weather are you going to send up to us here in Glos today? Gail, Angela Joyce and anyone I have forgotten (because I have not got Carole's memory!) Hope you are having a good Easter .. Lynne, very well chosen thoughts for this thread, thank you. Don't forget everywhere will be shut tomorrow (unless you have a convenient Indian type shop near you.

Morning All, Hi Gill, you will be up and down but one day you will find you are having more ups than downs. Lovely to see you are still with us, I feel a bit better today thanks I think my couple of days in bed did the trick. You know Gill, if you think about it you could write down your feelings, even if it is a couple of sentences at a time. It will help you to get things in perspective, I bet Jenny feels a lot lighter in her mind for doing it. Where are you Jenny?? Are you ok? Come to think of it where is Angela, can't remember seeing her when I read through this morning.
Malc I agree with Gill, ignore them, until they have stood in your shoes they have no idea what you have gone through. How are you going to manage if you don't get benifits. Hey Gill, I've just realised, you have come out with a word of advice and encouragement for someone else, good on yer girl. You definitely belong with us now lol.
What is it with these Joyces, Dutch rang me after tea last night, she had me laughing till tears rolled down my cheeks and my voice was all croaky when she'd done, nearly lost it again. Then I come on here this morning and find our Joyce JP at it, I'm sat all on my own at three in the morning laughing out loud and wiping tears. Oh it's good to be back.
Jules, I think you made the right choice for you at the time, with me having no confidence I know exactly what you went through, and I turn things down, your not on your own.Hope you enjoyed the peace and quiet. I'll just have to say hello to everyone else as I need to get dressed now, think I'll stay up today for a while.

Morning everyone
Very teary again today but that's life with me.
Ycaz hope your feeling better today,
Malc I am on benefits too and get a lot of nasty comments about it - usually by those they made me ill in the 1st place - ignore them as I keep getting told just stay here and talk to people who do understand.
Jenny my life could read like a sad book but I don't have your strength to write it all down.
Everyone else - I am glad to have 'met' you on here.
Will be back a little later.

As I won't be able to get on much during the day over the next few days will say hello, and Happy Easter to all, hope you can all find a way to feel happy at least some of the time, and try to forget your worries for a little while. Will be thinking of you all, Lizxxxxxxxxx

Oh Joyce I'm so sorry!!! pmsl. I just came on to read whats happening today and saw a comment about me making 2000 post!! Honest I'd no idea. In fact I went back to general topics and found there were 2028 post's on here!! I don't look at that, just look for our thread !!!
I also saw Ann G asked if I have a good memory to remember all those names so looked at my last post and all the names in it!! pmsl again!! I can't remember what happened today or what I said a minuite ago normally. I'm an air brain, lol sat with hand over my mouth laughing x
I'm just so pleased we have all been able to gather our experiences here to help each other. I couldn't do it alone, and I haven't !! Thank you to you all xx
Elaine you are bound to feel anxious with oh when he goes for his test's, but you coped so well with the funeral you will cope with the hospital, it wont be so hard. OH will understand better now you explained to him how you feel, but unless you have suffered it yourself it will be hard to know what you are feeling and worrying about. The more you try to hide it the deeper the problem will get. Keep talking to us. I'm sure we will do our best as a group to get you through. xxx
Jules what a treat! Bed until dinner time. What do you mean you're not from the same background as them? I think you are right not to have the next do at your house, you can't get up and go when you have had enough. Could you meet some of them in a smaller group? Then when you next have to meet you will have a better relationship with them, and stuff to talk about. To say "No I'm not going", was strong of you, it's shows you can stand up for your self.
Joyce just noticed your times of posting too!!! 12.49 and 12.51 mine in the middle at 12.49 !!

Well everyone I have come on to say goodnight to you all.
I'm going to try and stay up until after the PASSION which starts at 9.00 I think. I'm usually asleep by then, but it is nice to sit with my OH and enjoy a bit of 'late' TV.
Didn't sleep for more than 2 hours at a time last night.... may have to join your club Joyce P...
Have a lovely evening all of you whatever you decide to do.
God Bless, Deanna XX
