At my Dad's funeral we had played Andrea Bocelli singing 'Canto Della Terra' and then his duet with Celine Dion 'The Prayer' ,but I can't listen to it as I get too emotional.

Im sorry if it upsets anyone but although not morbid I have told freinds and family what I want at funeral for years - if you leave it too late you will never get the chance to have your say! The only thing I change really is music if I find something else apt!

I dont want a posh funeral money can be better spent behind the bar for the party after! Short and sweet so the smokers dont have to wait too long! All those dresses (we have all bought at least one) and never worn it as an occasion has never occured thats suitable - this is when you wear it and rid yourself of the guilt of having it in the wardobe.

If I go before my sis - I want Anthony and the Johnsons you are my sister as the sad song - then I want Elton John, Soft Cell and any of my fave female singers.......but most importantly everyone to raise their glass dance sing and party on me :)

I don't want any black at my funeral either
the brighter the colours the better - at my husband's funeral I chose the hymns - he was a member of the famous Pendyrus Male Choir - sung all over the world - and the choir were in full attendance. As we left the church, and I had kept a lid on things up to this point somehow, the choir started singing "Softly as I leave you" and that was it - I and everyone else just lost it completely and now I cannot listen to that song ever again - however, it was extremely appropriate but too much for me

Stray you made me laugh - I went Sloe picking late Oct (for home made sloe gin)down at a freinds a few hours away and we went on mass with her kids.

It was a bit chilly and the kids were so well behaved - marching through their village to the clearing for the sloes - I started singing if your happy and you know it and Four Adults and two kids did all actions walking down the road without a care!
