I am so sorry to read of your poor boy - my heart goes out to you - i had to say goodbye to my eldest cat 2 months ago :O(

Times like this are the hardest to go through as a pet owner, but you have to do what is best and bring the suffering to a peaceful end - it's the kindest thing you can do even though I know it will never feel that way to you.

You'll have happy memories and he'll always be with you in spirit.

Thank you so much everyone for all your kind thoughts and words. It's been an awful day and the house feels very very empty even though I have two other dogs.

My old boy went very peacefully and regained his dignity which he was losing by the day. Bless his heart.

It's not so bad with the girls around - I have to stay upbeat, but I'm not liking the house when it's quiet -it's going to take some getting used to.
