Join the singles club. Best way to be. I have no pets, since my cat was put down nearly two years ago, but if I ever get back to work after my op, I will have another pet, be it cat or dog. My grandsons have lost their cat, 3wks ago, and have been so cut up about it. It was only just over a year old. Lovely wee thing.

vods im trying to find out who lived at 5 Dukes st in Edinburgh in1914 thats when IDA REBECCA LIST had my dad. he was adopted and she disappeared even her relies in NZ dont know much she might have gone to devon thats what im looking at now

VODS NO I HAVENT DO YOU THINK THEY COULD HELP IM QUITE NEW TO ALL ONLY BEEN DOING IT FOR THREE MONTHS IVE BEEN QUITE LUCKY WITH SOME THINGS, BUT I NEVER KNOW WHERE TO GO NEXT.

It's def worth a try. You should be able to do it on-line. If she was born in Leith in that area she would be under the parish of South Leith I think, or North Leith. Even if you can contact the parish minister who will have access to parish records.

I can't find anything relating to a Ida List, but for some reason the name is ringing a bell with me. I assume this was her maiden name. As far as I am aware, Duke Street is very much unchanged, so it should be easy enough to locate files. As no. 5 would be nearest Leith Walk I assume, it will either be above a pub, or jobentre.
