I am so sorry.... you will feel so well afterwards, but give yourself some recovery time. DO NOT come home and turn into a house maid.... it is a big op. relax.

Good Luck Dianne, I am recovering myself from a radical hysterectomy, had it 8 weeks ago and I am feeling great, just make sure you have lost of support and let everyone look after you.

Wow, thank you for all these replies, I have only just got back to the computer so I hope I haven't kept you all waiting too long.

I thought I would be a bit nervous, but funnily enough I am actually looking forward to it. A nice bit of peace and quiet while I am in there, plus looking forward to feeling a lot better soon. I can't remember the last time I felt ok.

You lot take care of yourselves and each other while I am away, and I will pop back in when I get home.

Hi everyone

Well I have just got home about an hour ago. Everything went well but I am very sore yet. I have been up and walking about a bit for a couple of days. It's been a long hike down to the front door of the hospital for a fag I can tell you. By the time you get back to the ward you're ready for another.

Thank you for all your good wishes, and special thanks to the Boro lasses for the get well card, and to Joy Scott for coming to visit me. It's nice to put a face to the name after so long. It was lovely meeting you Joy.
