Thank you to you all , I am ok taking each day slowly as still in recovery period. You are right having a smear test does not hurt, but alot of women are scared of going but please dont be.

Thanks for putting this up Cara, I so hope you are recovering well,

As you say it is not pleasant but SO vital. I am awaiting the results of my biopsy last week and am so glad I have always attended as i too have had abnormal ones,

Good luck to you,

I,m a great believer in having all of the tests that are on offer. Early detection can save a life.

Whats a few mins uncomfortable for peace of mind.

If anyone is hesitating please don't. It doesn't hurt, just a little uncomfortable, but
could save your life.

So pleased that you are now OK Cara )))

Well said Cara, it is certainly sooo important.

My neighbours daughter died of cervical cancer because she never went for smear tests. It doesn't hurt, takes only a few minutes, and as you say, it could save your life.

Glad to hear you have come out the other end ok Cara.

After a few years of not having a Smear Test I went in May this year, I got a call in June with the news I had an abnormal result. Within 2 weeks I was told I had Cervical Cancer and within 4 weeks I had Radical Hysterectomy and Thank God all the cancer was removed and no further treatment is needed. So I want to make sure that everyone goes for their Smear Test it not the most pleasant test to go for but it may save your life.
