Hi Debs A nice idea in theory The thing that strikes me though is that when you look at the scraps it is always the same people and it is only a handful which isnt bad for a site with this many members. I think just avoiding them is the best policy There is no need for scraps at all the wattlers have managed to have thousands of messages without a single problem We should all take a leaf out of there books |

As long as there's a good air or train link the Scots will try to come! We even went to Liverpool!! Might also be an opportunity for Jenny to show the accumulated Gaynor items as that relay brought a lot of people together. |

Morning Deb :))) See cos you've met me you know I'm posh don't ya pmsl As for a big met, it was suggested a long time ago, but never got off the ground. To be honest, as I am :) I probably wouldn't be interested, as I don't want to meet some people, too much has been said to me, that was hateful, and never an apology, just brushed under the carpet, when it was proved I was blameless, once bitten etc, etc. If someone can be that nasty without ever meeting you, I wouldn''t give them the time off day in real life either. There are some folk I'd like to meet though, and hopefully will. Also, can you imagine someone having a bigger tiara then me, I just couldn't cope with that lol, lol. If it's arranged I hope you have a great time though. x x |

How about the NEC? Centrally located Stacks of parking, ideal rail and road and even aircraft connections? Also plenty of accommodation.......................... That way we could nip down and collect Michael up fm the airport! I'm up for it Jules Xx |

Wow, that would be some meet Deb!! Would have to be an all weekender one too, or there would never be time to talk to all you wanted to talk to let alone others you might want to get to know a little. I would be up for it tho. If you arranged it for after next April a lot of us with pensioner's bus passes could use them as by then they would cover the whole of the country for free. This would enable people to afford hotels or b and bs. |

I know that it has been suggested before, but how about a 'Mega Meet'? EVERYONE would be welcomed. It would be nice to get both 'sides' together. I think that once you have met a person 'face to face' it will be easier to chat on the boards. They may not be the 'Ogre' that you thought they were :) Just last night someone thought that Lynda was posh. I just about fell off my chair! A place could be determined (dab smack in the middle of the UK), a date decided upon, and a venue booked. I would be more than willing to coordinate the event. I have organised 3 reunions with over 300 people attending at each. Of course I will not be able to check out locations in the flesh and will need help there, but everything else CAN be done via the internet (ie catering, room reservations) Maybe Genes would be willing to cover some of the cost? In the long run, maybe it would be beneficial for them. Harmony on the boards. If anyone is interested, I will persue the idea with Genes. If Genes are a 'no go', I'm still willing to take on the challenge. Deb |
