Ooooh Julie, you'll be able to go snowboarding in Cristchurch park in the morning. Jude that's interesting, was watching a programme about the boy's from the Oliver film the other night. Was Bonus in the film? I remember a dog, I believe Oliver Reed had it. Rosemary.

Hi all, Thanks for adding to my thread. Can't believe it's been dug up twice and it's now a year old. I didn't know it had come out the first time until I had an e-mail from someone originally from the area. Nice to hear of another from Bury Karina. If the weathermen are right super Suffolk should be snowy Suffolk tomorrow. Rosemary.

I have just seen this thread and thought I would say a few words. I live in Australia now, but was born in a little village in Essex. My ancestors all came from Suffolk and I still have family living there. One neice lives in Ipswich and another one lives in East Bergholt.During the war, we stayed on my Great Uncle's farm in Stonham Aspel. It is a very pretty part of England. I lived in Walton-on-Naze until I was married and could see Harwich, Dovercourt and Felixstowe over the water from the Naze. We always used to go to Felixstowe on our Sunday School Outings, about 65 years ago and I have very fond memories of those days. Best wishes to you all over there from Sylvia in Perth WA

Mother-in-law lives in Newmarket, she used to live in Eye, before that Brockdish(Norfolk), then Soham(Cambs), and has now bought a place in Spain!, she is 67, and on her own!, I can't keep up with her,she works on the tote, and is arriving from Spain tonight at 11.15, and going to Doncaster tomorrow at 8 in the morning racing!. Don't ask me how she does it. She also had breast cancer, 7 years ago!..

Hi Rosemary although I don't live in Suffolk this is where I first started my research for my G/grand father and mother as he came from Haverhill and she from Sudbury and although I have gone way back on her side I can't find a thing for him and feel very disappointed, even though I know about the Haverhill site, they left Suffolk in 1880 so no help there. Best wishes Margaret

After a slow start this is sure moving. Malcom, It took me ages to details of my fathers family till I realised that Cockfield was down as Cosford. Some of these village sites have a lot in them. I found a lot of info on my mothers family on the Woolpit site.
