Morning from Scotland Deb, my sentiments entirely, would we behave in the way people do here in front of our children? No we would try to set an example. XXXXXXXXX

Woody's Report 1 May 2006 08:54

I'm relieved to see the date of the original message - I thought all this bickering was new as so many references were made to how wonderful things used to be etc. I was starting to get a complex! It takes more courage to walk away from conflict than to fight - that's why we have so many wars. We're all researching (or supposed to be) our families. Consider what you write, think would I write this if my Gran/Mam/children were likely to read it. If the answer is yes - go ahead. If no - then STOP

I have just noticed Deb's original posting is from 2004, but it could easily have been written now. There will always be argumentative or nasty threads, but it's up to us to avoid them. Let's keep on having a laugh on here and treat each other with respect. XX BC

This is a thread I posted in 2004.

It seems that history is being repeated yet again.

When will we ever learn???

Life is too short...............

It certainly is, Deb, the only difference is there are way more than 2 sides now. I've lost track of the various alliances. I dislike rudeness, bad manners, spite, snide remarks and abuse wherever they come from. I especially dislike organised abuse.

I wasn't around last night to see what happened but I expect it was the same as ever.

Hello again. I agree with you all; it defies belief that some people have nothing in the world to think about, other than cause trouble/arguments etc.

At various times, on argumentative threads (not debates lol) I've suggested that some peeps put things in perspective and stop arguing, but the main perpetrators have ignored my postings and just carried on.

For goodness' sake, there's enough sadness in the world, without it coming on here as well.

I personally would be very happy indeed if I had nothing to worry about other than arguing on a chatboard.

I'll probably look in later. Have a good day, all.
