iT IS AN AMAZING STORY- My husbands grandmother was half Maori. She was born when her 'Legal ' mother was 53 at the tail end of long family.Three other children came after her! The good Lady accepted them all as her children and brought them up with her own children..Her father had gone out to NZ from Lamphey -Wales.He was the youngest son and took a land grant in NZ.Granny was the product of his relationship with the childrens Maori Nanny who bore him four children. Granny was a very beautiful girl and also wealthy and was snapped up as an exotic bride by one of the Fisher family who was doing a world tour.He brought her back to England where he built a house near the New Forest for her. She was a wonderful old autocrat when I knew her.She would never sit in the direct sun for fear of getting a tan.She bore four children and my husbands father was one of these. My husband has Maori stature, dark close cropped curly hair and he goes deep tan on a sunny February day.He loves his Maori connection and is fascinated by a culture that has Polyenisian Origens. His deepest desire is to go to NZ and learn something of his Maori Culture first hand.We do have contact with the family there and hope to go in 2006

Been married to John 25 years in September and we still argue! Have a daughter Emma 22, a 'poor' uni student and Richard 20, a professional rugby league player. No grandchildren yet, I don't feel old enough yet anyway! Maggy

Hi It will be 8 years on 12 April - exactly the same as Roxanne! How freaky is that ?? For our 10th anniversary in 2007 I'm planning on taking my hubby to Vegas as he's never been - just listened to me telling him how fanastic and awesome it is! Maybe we should look at renewing our wedding vows at one of the wedding chapels. How tacky is that!! I think it's wonderful to see all of you who have been married 30/40/50+ years. That's a great achievement. Lots of love and patience I'm sure. I hope to be here in 30 years saying same thing! Joanne
