Agree with you Harry, we used to spend all day playing out side only coming in when mother shouted us for tea. We made our own games but also played the long forgotten ones. What happened to hop scotch, tin tan tommy or pommy as its sometimes called and the like. Today the kids just wander about with nothing to do, we used to all join up and have great fun. Even as teenages we used to go to each others houses, play records chat and have fun. All teenages seem to do these days is stand on street corners and stay out to all hours of the night!!

hi harry i am one of the over 70s I would like the world to slow down a bit when people had time to stop and talk , when it was safe to walk the streets in the dark ,all the stress of life we had was be home in time for meals howard

Given a magic wand - what you bring back from your earlier days.? This morning I travelled through a very large housing estate which used to be fields and woods.. You could stay out all day and there was no need for your mother to have the slightest worry. Down the street where I used to live. Where once it was an all day play area, now we have traffic on both sides. Dice with death in the middle if you wish. What have we inflicted on our grand-children? Is it any wonder that they are always in front of their play station?? Where do the teenagers go to let off steam? For their first courtship? And yet we criticize them. We,ve gained a lot over the years, but we,ve also lost a lot. Happy days.
