Whether or not she really knew what was going on was not the question............the question, as I read it was 'should she be allowed to write a book?' If no one wants to read it then that is up to them.........

Hi, The Maxine Carr thread you are refering to was put up by me around June/July last year. I cannot remember what the question in the title was now. I think it was just to ask for your views. Funnily enough I never got around to air my views. It was a very popular thread, a lot of members saying it was one of the best threads. To my knowledge there was no Court Case still going on at the time. GC took it off because someone complained as they found the subject 'A bit to close to home' There were no arguments on the thread, just someone found it very distressing. Jenny.

In this day and age when they take a life if it is a child or an adult if they get life that is what it should mean think about it if a dog bites some one and draws blood it is supposed to have 1 more chance if it does it again there is no more chances it is put down where is the justice

I think she had knowlege of what he done and she might have been more involved than people think there is something about her I would not trust the first time I seen her on the television acting as though butter wouldn't melt in her mouth I had a bad feeling about her and I don't think she is as innocent as she makes out

As I see it, any recent inhabitant of her majesties luxury, can write a book about their life............why should she be any different. the fact that she was 'involved' allegedly in childrens deaths is immaterial...........I believe a lot of notorious villians has been allowed to do their 'lives' and exploits........Jeffrey, for one.......

That's ok Debbie - I remember it particularly as there were some very 'heated' interesting discussions about the woman - but none of them came down to a personal level - such would appear to be the difference between then and now! Wont post what I think about M.Carr spinster of someone's parish, as it would no doubt cause the thread to be deleted! Needless to say I am not a fan of her, her punishment (Ha!) or anything else about the woman. Jacqui

Hi Jacqui Yes I remember now, I did say dont quote me on it as I wasnt that sure. Thanks Debbie

Jacqui

Jacqui Report 20 Feb 2005 13:25

Debbie, I think you are wrong actually. Maxine Carr had just been released from jail and was being set up in an all expenses paid hideaway and we were discussing her 'right' to privacy Jacqui

Jan I think last time this sort of thread was on, had to be taken off as, it was still going through the courts, or it was still in the news alot. And people were worried they were going to get into trouble. Please dont quote me on this though, as I am not positive that this was the reason.
