Hello, everyone. Philip - I asked the other day if you were still on site because I hadn't seen you for a while, and was told you were here. I remember so well our singing at Christmastime, and wondered about Easter hymn singing. What do you think? Sorry to hear about Paula's ongoing problem. take care, all, Joy

Aww Phil what a shame about your wife -we don't know how lucky we are I think i would rather have the joint problem's that I have than bladder prob's although she may disagree. Hope you can get away somewhere. Chrissy Hope your lot are better and it's good to hear from you. Hello everyone else, -----Jeannetee you have been so busy keeping the freecen thread going too,I admire your energy and your memory. Philip Report 21 Mar 2005 10:12

G'day all, Spring equinox today, with all this good weather we're having at present, wonder if it augurs well for the months ahead, lol! Well, back from Spain, sale completed, money going into the bank. Now we can start paying off some of our debts! Feeling much better about having got shot of the apartment, the whole coast is being massively developed for tourism, apartment blocks going up on every spare bit of land. Where we could previously look down to the port or across the open land to the town bull ring and beyond, now we're completely surrounded by high rise concrete. Not my idea of a holiday location at all! Good to be back in the green fields and open views of the North Devon plateau, can't beat it! Family history going on apace. Have been in contact with new distant rellies recently, turning up a fund of new information and especially new piccies I've never seen before! My father as a youngster with his sisters and cousins, for example. All good stuff, will keep me off the streets and out of mischief for some time to come! Hope you're all keeping well. Sorry not to be in touch more frequently at present, but life is just too hectic for now. Looking forward to a proper holiday, had been hoping to do so in July, but will probably have to delay, as Paula is still having massive problems with her bladder. She's had problems of infection & spasmodic incontinence for the past eight years, had an op two years ago to correct one form of incontinence which was successful, but still hasn't cured the problem overall. Makes going out a misery for her, ditto travelling any distance. Has been x-rayed, scanned, ..otomied, other tested ad nauseam, the medical drug approach just doesn't seem to work, so now on the final run in to what she actually wants now to improve her quality of life, a bladder removal. The modern technology & aids etc make this a realistic option in a way it could never have been previously. So hope we can get it sorted soon, then she can begin to enjoy life again. Anyway, must go now. Will call in again when we get another breather. Take care, Philip

I'm still here Dawn! lol Found a couple of new rellies lately so have been trying to gather as much info as possible. My kids break up from school tonight so that'll be nice! Been trying to think of things to do to amuse them. I got myself a bike yesterday - bargain £60 plus VAT at Makro - so a few bike rides might be in store! If the weather is nice we could take a picnic too. Jeanette x

Hello Everyone, I hope i find you all well-sorry i haven`t been on for awhile but i have been busy with work- i know it`s no excuse for not seeing how you all are-sorry. Today, I took my daughter out to have a look at some new furniture for her bedroom- talk about Kevin and perry- (hormones are running riot)- one minute o.k the next do i have to look at anymore, oh well looks like i`ll have to choose the furniture- we have similar tastes so i am pleased about that. Found a lovely duvet set and curtains so thats a start in the right direction. Next week -fingers crossed - i am off work, but anything can happen as i work with my other half. I am hoping to get my daughters` room decorated, perhaps when she sees it she might take an interest in what goes in there. Anne- very sorry have been up to Darlo for a while- but as soon i as hear from the people i go and see for work i will let you know. Do you know any good places for coffee-last time i came i went to a place not far from Binns, wasn`t very nice . Fred and Liz, so pleased to hear you recieved 'Best Friends'-Lolly was over the moon,( she likes to have alook at genes) you know the two dogs on the front -well we have two of them and a the moment one of them is very poorly- he is on antis`b and steriods- we see the vet again a week on monday. I going to have to make a move,my other half is getting the tea ready and has shouted it is nearly ready, Take Care and Keep Well Everyone. Lizz x

G'day all, Why is this particular thread do slow at loading, I wonder? Are we suffering discrimination, lol? How are you all? Well, I hope. Sorry my visits are so spasmodic at present, life is fairly hectic! Have got our mobiles sorted out at long last. Arrived down here in Devon nearly 4 years ago with Vodafone, found that the house is in a dead spot. Waited to see if the signal would improve, it didn't, so decided to change. Only one signal works here, although all the others are OK down the lane. Asked Vodafone for the PAC codes to transfer our existing numbers to our new network provider, took three weeks to extract teeth from them! Anyway, we're up and running again now with Virgin, who use T-Mobile's signal network, and the signal's fantastic! The costs are good too, it used to cost £14.99 pcm per phone for Vodafone, on the same rate of calls it will cost me about £4.50! Off to Spain on Wednesday for a week, to finalise the sale of the apartment. It'll be great to get it all completed, one big headache over and done with! Family history going on apace. Have been contacted by some more new distant rellies, helping to fill in the bits of the jigsaw puzzle. Also been sent some marvellous photos of my great grandparents and their seven adult children, none of whom I've ever seen before, apart from my grandparents. Fantastic! Must dash now, will call again when we get back home. Keep smiling, spring's on the way! Philip

Wahey,at last the grandson has gone back to camp,it was lovely to see him ,but i am so glad i have the puter back and have a can of lager to sip while i catch up on all the gossip. Sean is coming back next month ,for a few days ,and then comes up for two weeks in august ,which will be his twenty first birthday. thats great in itself ,but he has,nt any friends up here for obvious reasons ,so what do i do for his thrash?take him out for a meal and on to a pub ,which will be difficult for liz, with empysema in the smoke.or do we get all the rellies together for a party?,any suggestions gratefully recieved.Liz is itching to get into the garden with her seeds which are doing very well now,but ,as usual Freds seeds are not showing again,i'm sure the missus has nobbled them he he.I had my first session of physio last friday, and have only just got over it.The lass who does it was proffesional and polite when i filled the forms in ,and i wondered why ,but not for long.the last time i came across someone like her was a male with a little tash ,under the top lip ,shouting sieg heil. I do know poor old fred is still suffering from shell shock, and have the muscles to prove it ,still tender ,and sore, methinks she will either kill me or cure me.lol.Fred.ptfg.&a&g&s.
