Hi Simon Just to let you know that you and all your colleagues are really appreciated. If it weren't for people like you, I'd have to learn to drive. I love buses, I know it's the driver who didn't turn up's fault (or rather the manager who didn't organise cover or get the bus repaired) It's not so easy to thank the driver, now our buses have exits in the middle, but, believe me, I am grateful. B

it's really strange but, our bus service is really quite good, it runs every 10 minutes and we rarely have to wait except- invariably in the morning the 10.05 and the 1015 seem to arrive in tandem. i assume there is a reason for it but it is odd. No way would I want to be a bus driver so i don't complain. Ann Glos

If im ever running late on my bus and anybody complains. When i pull up the conversation normaly goes somthing like This 'I been waiting ages driver' Before they can say any more i say 'I know im late i would complaine to the company if i was you' This normaly defuses any hostility towards you and the most common response i get is 'oh i was'nt getting at you' Regards Simon

Hi Simon My husband is a bus driver in Warrington. Has been for nealry 19 years. says the job would be fine if it wasn't for the passengers?!! Don't some of them get on your nerves? E.g When you are running late through no fault of your own, when you pull up at a stop he gets 'are you late?' or 'Where's the 25?' he usually gets out of the cab and looks at the front of the bus and says' don't know love, this is the 23' Or 'Where are you going?' is a favourite. Just saw this thread. I drive a 70 passenger school bus here in the States. Don,t think I could drive one in England though. The roads are too narrow. lol
