Hi Mags, Are you related to Einstein? I can usually work out most of these but I couldn't get my head round that one. Here's a little nightcap for you. A man died on January 23rd yet was buried on January 22nd. Why the premature burial? Aileen

8 bottles between the three of them is 2 and 2/3rds each The first man has three bottles - so in effect he has 'donated' 1/3 bottle to the woman The second man has five bottles so has in effect 'donated' 2 and 1/3 bottles to the woman (7/3rds) So the fairest way - assuming that all coins are to the same value is to give the first man 1 coin and the second 7 coins.
