I was single, working for George Wimpey & Co and living in my own caravan (on hire puchase at £12/4/10 per month) on a caravan site at Southampton and entertaining a long list of girl friends. Happy days Happy nights Happy most of the time. |

When I was 22 I was made redundant from my job as a hairdresser. I worked for my sister who retired at the tender age of 36!!! I also got married that year. My husband and I had a flat in the town where he lived. I turned 48 yesterday. Viv |

Had a baby, married (same as CB - wrong man) when I was 23 - think perhaps the thunder and lightening on my wedding day was an omen after all!!! Now 35, about to be divorced (from above mentioned wrong man), another kid to add to the one I had at 22 and trying to hold it all together. Kxx |

Struggling to cope with the heat of summer '76 and being heavily pregnant with my first baby, who was born at the end of August. Husband died 10 years later after two more children. After a few mistakes and one more child, now a very happily married, just gone 50 year old. Jenny x. |

Like Bendy I had a gun. In fact two guns although the big one I had to share with 9 others, it was a 3.7' AA gun which weighed about 10 tons. The little one was a .303 Short Lee-Enfield and weighed about 10lb. Wish I still had it. That was about 1946. The last of 4 hairy years. Len |
