On second thoughts i'd make them answer some uncomfortable questions. 1. Why as a university student can't i have free health care costs? 2. Why did they promise not to introduce top up fee's and then go and do the opposite? 3. Why do they waste so much of tax payers money on penpushers jobs for the boys.? 4. Why would i be better of if i became pregnant? 5. why would i be better of if i was an immigrant? 6. How can they justify raising my council tax by 16% when inflation is 2.5%? 7. why did they send a labour candidate down to cornwalll from london who has no idea of local issues? 8. Why did they start a war that millions of thier own voters were against? 9. why did they provide the country in question with the nuclear weapons in the first place? 10. And why is being patriotic to ones country now considered racist?

I would ask them When are they going to give us single women without any children and a partner who cannot claim any dole cos we are classed as a married couple, who have to 2 jobs, 1 full time and 1 part time at weekends (works 7 days a week) have own home, When are we going to benefit in the budgets. The answer quite plainly NEVER! cos if us workers didnt get up in a morning and go to work then England would come to a stand still. Im on a late shift tonight. I wonder if any of the Labour Party or any other party are on a late shift tonight and tomorrow night and then up again on Monday morning for 6am. That would be too much hard work for them. I think not.

at the last election I was a single parent with 2 jobs raising 2 kids (happily married now though (-: ) I really struggled...and I mean struggled. The only thing that kept me afloat was Working Families Tax and the fact that I could keep all my maintainence. If Labour had have lost I would have had to pack in work and claim income support as Tories were going to replace WFT. The morning of the results I didn't dare put the TV on incase the Tories had got in....I remember it well. But saying all this...I think Politics is very much like religion...a personal decision. I would never try and influence anyone and it doesn't bother me either way who my family and friends vote for. Sue xx

Wouldnt answer cos they probably press wrong doorbell anyway, I'd rather not vote at all, cos Labour is Tory in disguise as someone else said and The female Tory PM, not saying her name, made me burn my hand when I was little jus cos she wanted the falklands, silly cow.

Not even in the seventies did you do anything for the working class people and nothing has changed. Family member unable to work because of longterm illess and on benefit - his proportion of council tax has risen by 40% not to mention rent rise, water, gas etc etc. His increase in benefit acually means a reduction. I'd invite him in for a cuppa and keep him talking so that he couldn't canvass anywhere else! They don't bother knocking round here though, so I'd probably call the police instead as it clearly wouldn't really be a Labour candidate! Daisy
