I am so very sorry for you David. The fact that you did this out of love for your precious Frank shows what a wonderful relationship you must have had. If only all pets were as loved as he was. Sarahxxx

David, It is so hard to lose a faithful friend. 12 is a good age, and I am sure that you will always remember him with joy not sadness.

David I am so sorry, I understand how you must be feeling. We lost our wonderful Great Dane, Ophelia, 5 years years ago, aged 11. It was the saddest thing I have ever had to do, although the vet assured us that the time was right , it's so hard to know when you really have to let go. Jane

David, I am so sorry. I know how hard this must be for you. I think we feel loss so much more when we have already had a major bereavement. This will probably knock you back and bring back some very deep emotions. It does get easier again, believe me. Thinking of you. Best wishes, Sal.x

David, Having been through this with two 12 year old dogs over the past 30years, and 4 cats, I know how you must be feeling. The first time it happened to me an acquaintance told me the best thing to do was to have another dog. I thought it a bit heartless, but 6 weeks later collected a new puppy. It really helped to get me over the loss. Rosemary(Essex)
