Joan, as always you speak a mamouth of sense. I agree with you. If you don't want old coals raked over delete the thread! I am also against nudging for the sake of it. But sometimes there are very good and sound reasons to nudge a thread. Jacquie xxxx |

No, It's not the same person who has been nudging the 'phantom nudger' threads - I don't know about the others, but if there are threads people don't want dragging up again because it caused distress/arguments etc the first time around couldn't the person who posted the thread simply delete it, as it is in the past & if they want to forget about it wouldn't that be the simple solution?? That's just my opinion, what I would do; that way there would be no chance of it coming back to 'haunt' me lol!! :0) Joan |

I caught someone having a mammoth nudge session very early one morning a few months back, but like Lou I was so gobsmacked by who it was that I didn't say a word! I'm such a wimp, lol! Bev x |

Oh I see that now ! it was 'Phantomly' nudged 04.49am and the thread is almost a year old ! someone must have trawled the GR basement for that one. Yes someone is delibratly trying to stir for me...and I have my ideas who. (again im not telling publicly !) BUT I never asked for advice on it like recent threads and also diddnt give out any info. When I first posted the thread I was upset And when I reposted on it I was drunk...yes I admit that..it was the last time I got drunk...almost a year ago ! ..those who know me know the details of how I felt at the time They supported me in private. But at least I dddnt post ONE thread and kept on adding to it,,,,getting sympathy one day and carrying it on to the next day too. At least I wasnt telling people I was not fit to reply to their personal emails but happy enough to post songs on another thread without a care in the world ! (note I have not named names ! ) Elaine x |

yep David - it is exactly that sort of thing where someone tries to cause trouble that I am on about. Oh how I wish I could see who does it - they would not remain anonymous for long! |

There was a link Maz - someone nudged one of Elaine Harlowgirl's threads from 100 years ago where she was talking about being fed up and also nudged Lynda Pace's thread about too much personal info at the same time. I think the suggestion was that Elaine's comments on Lynda's thread contrasted with what hse'd posted a while ago. |

Lindy - no-one would have a problem with those hun - its only when its done to cause confusion or stir up trouble that it becomes a problem and irritates the hell out of me! Maz. XX |

It must have started after I went to bed, about 12:30am. Probably someone that couldn't sleep or was bored...or as you say Maz...someone who does this for no reason on a regular basis. Trouble is, if we 'Catch' them, it may just be a person bumping a thread for a genuine reason...and not the phantom nudger ! Elaine x |

Has been very active overnight I see - some very old threads along with some from last couple of days have been bumped up for no obvious reason. If I saw who was doing it, I would ask them by name 'why?' on a separate thread on the board. I wonder if it is always the same person stirring it?? Maz. XX |
