Talking to CB yesturday on the phone. CB and Daisy have spoken about the possibility of a big meet up when Gaynor Bear gets back from her Sahara Trek in March. I did intend booking a place and providing a buffet for all that could attend on the day that GB finishes her UK tour. Hopefully she is arriving back to me via the North Sea. Local radio and press have agreed to cover it. CB and Daisy have suggested a meet up on St. George's Day next year. April 22nd/23rd is a Sat/Sunday. Which will be exactly one year to the day that the Gaynor Bear Relay started. I think this is a great idea. Please can I have your opinions on this. Jenny xx |

I think it will be best to find somewhere central and as easy as possible for all members to get to. There still will be a celebration when GB arrives back to me from her UK tour, before she goes to the Sahara. Grandpa Jim and all his team. I shall be in touch with you all in the next couple of days. Just under two weeks now, before you are due to receive Gaynor Bear. Jim, if any of your group have dropped out or you have lost contact with, could you please let me know. Jenny x |

Hi Elaine, Warwickshire is the most central in England 'cos we have Meriden in it! I would suggest maybe somewhere near the NEC because access is easy from almost everywhere. Gwynne |

As long as we don't have to stay at that Abbey again, Coventry or, probably better, Brum, would be an ideal place, as it's central and easy to reach. If we made it the actual St George's Day (23rd April), it would be the Sunday and then Gwynne would have no excuse! LOL Who's going to make GB a St George's costume? I've already got a fluffy green dragon she can have! CB >|< P S Horse might pose a few probs though! |

Not sure what day Saint George's Day is the 22nd or 23rd April. I do agree that somewhere near the NEC would be ideal. I can be in that area for the whole weekend. Perhaps we could have two meet ups in one. One on the Saturday afternoon / evening and one on the Sunday. These are just ideas. I am open to any suggestions. Jenny. x |

I would have thought that Birmingham or somewhere just outside would be a good idea. i would have thought that if people wanted to stay over then you'd probably get quite good rates if we 'took over somewhere' for the weekend. any suggestions as to where though? Jess x |
