Curly Report 7 Oct 2005 13:58

Hi Paul, I was very interested and enthusiastic when I first started, made some ground and found a distant cousin on this site. Then began to tackle the other side of the family who I knew very little about, made a mistake got completely lost going in the totally wrong direction! Got fed up tracing back again to find where I had gone wrong! I will start again though I was enjoying my new found hobby. Sarah :)

Fran Bris Oz Report 7 Oct 2005 13:34

Hi everyone, I am 66......retired......but drive/deliver for Meals on Wheels. Divorced quite young so I don't have children. Live by myself, which I'm very used to. Am a cat lover but since the last one passed on, I don't want to go through the grief anymore (guess I'm a coward). I am happy to make a fuss over my friends' cats. Spend most of my spare time doing genealogy searching. Hate cooking. Eat to live. Don't live to eat. Live in Queensland. 2 Brothers. 2 Nephews. 1 Niece. And many other nieces and nephews from extended families. Cheers, Fran :))))))))))

I'm 55, married to the best guy in the world and have 2 grown up kids (36 next Tues and 33) and 5 lovely grandkids - 15, almost 13, 12, 9 and 6. I've been a GR member almost 3 years but don't post much as I am busy(!!) working in a Drug Rehabillitation Centre.

Rugby

Rugby Report 6 Oct 2005 12:07

Hi, I'm Vicky aka Rugby Widow ... now I've finally worked out how to change the name setting. I'm 36 and married to a gorgeous bloke, with two young girls. We live in West Yorkshire. My girls speak with the local accent, but I'm from Berkshire originally. A recent form home from school asked for my daughter's ethnic origins. I had to tick 'prefer not to state' because there wasn't an 'If you do geneaology we don't want to know every generation' option :)

Hi, I could refer you to my 'whats your name and where do you come from' thread but I wont :) I'm Paul (no, really !!). I'm 35 and married to Sharon (who is 30 but doesn't like to admit it). We live in Milton Keynes with our dog Lucy. I work in IT, but that doesn't mean that I know much about PCs. I've been on here nearly 2 years. I've been chunky, but I'm currently cheeky. My time is split between work, helping run my local football club, trying to do a bit of genealogy, and trying to raise money for Cancer Research UK (if you haven't heard of the sahara trek... where have you been ?). I'm not allowed to ask for sponsorship on here, but any that comes my way is graciously accepted (I'm not desperate, honest). Paul ps, Buttercup is fibbing, she's not 29, I would never have put her that old...

Hi all, I'm Micheal, young 55 (apparently), divorced, two stepdaughters,3 grandsons (who i don't see often enough), moved from manchester to Gt yarmouth 7yrs ago. At the moment i'm on a project rebuilding a fishing boat, i'm not talkative, but will pass an opinion after everyone has had their say. I like horror movies, a bit of sea fishing, religous (but not a fanatic), believe in natural things and my music (reggae). Been on here since march, so still a newbie:)). Also trying to afford a herd of horses to drag me away from this thing, this HYPNOMACHINE. Micheal.
