Zoe Report 10 Oct 2005 11:29

Strump even I would consider a ocean jaunt in December a bit too choppy ;o)

Alan, I wouldn't know what the beer's like - can't stand the stuff, but the food we had there was excellent about a year ago. Maybe it's got a new chef or changed management or something? As long as the bar serves champagne or gin and there's a bag of crisps to hand, I'm happy. CB >|<

Talking of pubs, Jon and I went into Waxy O'Connors, just off Shaftesbury Ave, yesterday for a bit of hair of the dog and inside is like an Irish church complete with pulpit and all sorts. It's on several levels with different bars and even has a big tree inside the pub. I don't know anything more about the place but it looked like a really cool venue for a meet.

Zoe, Could I suggest you check out The Anchor on Bankside? It's a short walk from London Bridge - an old pub with tons of character, right alongside the Thames. Food was good last time we were there. The Shakespeare at Victoria is ideal for a large party or some of the pubs round Covent Garden - Porter's, for instance. CB >|< P S 3/12 or 10/12 would suit.
