oooh sue ... i went to lawnswood a couple of weeks ago.... mum in law is now there... i could not believe what it is like there ! dewsbury is a bit mean about what you are allowed to have, plus it gets vandalised a lot. lawnswood is sooo different, sue. x

The more ancestors I find the more I realise I'm not destined for a long life! They all died early, of lots of different things. I'm only in my 40s but have told everyone I don't want a funeral at all - horrid, sad things - instead I'll have a non-religious and extermely anonymous cremation and then they can scatter me in Buttermere in the Lake District which is what we did with my mother and are going to do with my father.

As me grandad said.....Put me on a low light till it's a nice day..... :-))))))

Having Just buried my dad in a green site, in a few years time he will be part of a new spread of woodland...which should be ok for the next 100 years. I think that there is too much pomp and ceremony in a normal funeral........ok if you like it, but ours we feel was more personal,,no rush, no hurry........and we will be able to visit the site, at our leisure...and pay our respects, in a quiet part of Lincolnshire.........but he will be not too far away from the RAF in which he served,all those years ago......... I'd prefer to be buried I think. My father is buried and my parents-in-law were cremated, but their ashes are buried in the churchyard in Wales under a tree my father-in-law used to climb as a boy. nell

cremated and ashes scattered in New York.... Bond Street will do at a push tho!! My fav shopping areas..... couldn't afford to go too often in real life so in death it would be great to be there every day!! :O)

My ashes could be turned into Fireworks(that would be fun) or a nice diamond... Lucia

First of all give everything I have to those who need organs/body parts.... then use the rest for science (I won't need them!). Then burn (cremate) the rest and use them to grow a tree. Once I am gone I am gone, use me to help something else grow... it may be the most useful thing I do! love becx

its prob freakky but i would like every family member to take a hand full of ashes and go in the shower ans rub a little bit of me on their skin!! Eventhough 90 % of me would go down the plugwhole i would like to think that the rellies has someting on my essence!!! Well thats my wish!!! i hope my thoughts and morals would rub off!!! Karen

My children know that after harvesting anything useful, I am to be cremated & my youngest daughter will arrange for the ashes to be put into a huge firework. This will be the main point in a lovely display, half way through a big party of celebration. My son wants to be made into a diamond. Vivienne

Definately Cremation My wishes have been expressed to my family. Not made any wishes about the ashes though, maybe I should. Thinking thinking mmmmm! When my Mum died in 2000 we had her cremated and then we bought her favourite tree which was an Hawiian Hybiscus and then burried her ashes underneath it. She always said she would make great fertilizer. Had a great sense of humour my Mum. Regards Jackie

Same as mum and stepmum Cremation and ashes scattered. No grave to keep and weep over, No feelings of guilt because ive not been visited in six months and my flowers changed, Dont think of me cold and still, in my grave, as I stand beside you undetected as you cry so hard. Remember me as the person I one was...and still am. Put a small picture in a frame, one where in it I look happy. If you must buy flowers for an occasion, place them in a vase beside me, so we can both enjoy them. Elaine x

i think i would leave my body to medical research no funeral to worry about and i might do some good when i am gone love Helenxx

Have always said I want to be left sitting in an arm-chair next to the window but as nobody will listen to me well blasted into space sounds good on the other hand frozen would appeal if they left me for 200yrs then brought me back to life because I'm nosey and would love to see into the future. Cremated in a cardboard box, definately don't want a wooden coffin. Ashes scattered but not sure where yet!! jude sarf wales
