Ladies - Beware, tonight is another Sawyer episode. I'm waiting for another Shannon or Kate episode! :(

This may be coincidence, but has anyone else figured the Dark/Light theme in 'Lost'? Remember when Locke was teaching Walt to play backgammon? He told him 'Two peices, one dark, one light'. Next remember when Kate, Jack, Locke, and Charlie were running away from the bee's and they found 'Adam and Eve'. One of the bodies had a small bag attached to it, with two rocks in it. One dark, on light. Next remember Claires Dream? She was walking through the Jungle and came upon Locke sitting at a table, he muttered something to Claire, and then looked up at her. His eyes had changed, one light, one dark. Now is this just a coincidence? Probably!

nope its got to mean something and dont you think Claire's baby has something to do with it all too?

Paul

Paul Report 2 Nov 2005 22:06

Yes, I think so, i think the baby is whole reason why they're ALL there.

Paul

Paul Report 2 Nov 2005 22:09

And I've decided i dont like this idea which i read before, that they're all actually dead! I think they all have they're reasons to 'protect' Claires baby.

me too - what do you think about the metal carry on that Locke and Boone are digging up? i think its got something to do with the people the french woman could hear, an underground lab or something

Paul

Paul Report 2 Nov 2005 22:12

Yes, i was thinking a lab or something, maybe like a control centre for the 'monster'. Oh yeah! i forgot to mention I think the monster is mechanical, and controlled by the 'others'.

at this point dare i mention that my gf is getting the dvd's of the series tomorrow, i really dont know if i want to watch them and spoil it for myself or resist - i think i will probably give in! Paul i think i must be thinking along the same lines as you but i havent really got a clue whats going on - its very complicated lol

Just wait till you all see season two! Some questions have been answered but I am still confused by a lot of other stuff. Lost is my favourite show. Teresa

Oh yeah! I forgot the Comic Book! I read somewhere that the comic book is about a bunch of superhero's (The 'Lost Lot', maybe?) who fight an Alien (The Monster? or the Others? Or maybe even the Island?) ad try to kill him. Turns out that the Alien was actually peaceful, and the Superhero's attacked it for no reason. Apparently that has something to do with it.

I brought the first 12 episodes the other day from Tesco. I was going to buy the whole series on Amazon or something and then decided that i dont want to spoil it for myself.

Ive been told that when its Hurleys story quite a bit comes clear. Theresa - weve heard that series 1 leaves you on a right cliffhanger, i cant wait for series 2 :-)

Paul

Paul Report 2 Nov 2005 22:24

I hope there isn't a big long wait between the end of series one and series two. I hate waiting too long when cliffhangers happen.

What episode are you up to in the UK? The season finale for season 1 was shown in may and then we had to wait until almost the end of september for the new series to start. It is a repeat show tonight so no joy. Teresa

Paul Report 2 Nov 2005 22:32

I brought the spoiler book (Im sad like that) and have read a little bit, for example who dies. But i never read WHAT actually happens, and what the dynamics of the Island are. Didnt want to spoil it!

Animal Lover Report 2 Nov 2005 22:32

I keep coming up with loads of ideas, but haven't really got a clue! Looking forward to 11.00 on E4 tonight though! I've heard it's something to do with the Children - Clares baby and Walt, but what exactly I don't know. There are obviously 'others' there because apart from the french woman, there was Ethan. Could be a sort of 'Bermuda Triangle' syndrome because of the compass thing or some sort of magnetic field??? I agree that the metal door (or whatever it is) will probably be an entrance or something to underground tunnels (ex Viet Cong do you think??? - joke)! If the 'monster' is mechanical why did it kill the pilot in the first episode? I don't think anyone else has been killed, have they? All these questions and I just want to know the answers!!!! I love this programme! Jan

It reminds me of the series that I was really into in the late 1980's. the one that had the great cherry pie and the dead girl called Laura I think. This is annoying now because I've forgotten the name of it. I went onto the 'Lost' website and read the transcripts of the series one. I'm still no nearer to figuring it all out!! Why is it on so late? We've lost our digibox remote so I'll have to wait until next week. Louise
