Just phoned them today as I couldnt find my blasted reference numbers to get in there for the original deadline date!!! Can I just point out that although the deadline has been extended, they are only now allowing the second half of entitlement to be rebated.....so as I have foned after the original date of 31 December 2005 I cant claim the full £60 but only £ 30.... I dont care !!! however much is better in my pocket than in theirs.... (think they are cursing the make me rich guy Martin tho!!!! lolol) Jill x |

I have been getting conflicting reports from you today some seem to have the full rebate others now only getting half! The site I originally had the info from people have had the full amount according to their message board. All I can suggest is anyone now applying should say they had been unable to get through before the 31 Dec ( it took me 3 hours) maybe that might work!! Anyway at least lots of us have now had a rebate. Linda |

Got my MIL to phone today, she was reluctant at first, but after a bit of persuasion, she took the plunge, and was surprised how easy it was. Not sure they said how much she would get, just said it would be credited to account before April. Val |

My mother in law has just claimed hers but she can only get £30 because she has been with them less than a year. Said they started the scheme last year. Gloria |

Thank you to whoever started this. My daughter has just rung British Gas and will get a rebate for her gas supply but was told that it is only £20. Still better than nothing. She knew nothing about it until I rang her, no form with her gas bill. Thanks again Kathleen |

My parents phoned yesterday. Dad complained about the lack of advertising/notification and, after a bit of arguing with the head of section/supervisor, is now getting the full amount and not just half. Suggest that if anyone else is still to claim they make a fuss about the lack of notification and ask for the full amount. Apparently they wrote to people who had been in touch with them in the past for help with paying their bills, put an advert in the Mirror and in some local press but that is all, so it seems to be tough luck for everyone else. From feed back I have been getting it seems that some who were told they would get the reduced rebate have now had letters confirming a full rebate! Either way I am so pleased that many of you and your relatives have at least had something. Linda |

I think we must have all bombarded them with our requests for rebates and has forced them to increase their prices by 22% Just got my bill in since we applied. It does not actually say rebate on it but I pay by monthly direct debit £31.50 a month and I am now £46 in credit so i think they must have added it to the amount paid. |
