I really believe In an after life, I also believe very strongly in reincarnation. I believe we keep coming back until we are perfect, only then do we go to a higher plain, when we have learnt every lesson there is to learn and our souls are pure, I also believe we choose our next life, we decide what we need to learn from our new life, Im Affraid Ive got a few 100 lives left yet!!lol Roxanne x

Nice to hear such messages. As I said earlier I had a similar experience myself a long time ago. No-one on here thinks any after-life will be properly proved by scientists or what have you, so i suppose we,ll just have to wait and find out for ourselves. (although if there isn,t any after life, we will never know) Like the theory about genes living on, but that raises as many questions as answers. Happy days

Harry I think a lot of us need to beleive somtimes, My dad died suddenly in 1976,he was living with us at the time and was only 59, For a month after that my daughter aged seven and son age four said that every night a man would stand at their bedroom doors and say goodnight to them, I was told years later it was my dad but because they were so young he didn't want to scare them, they didn't see who it was clearly and he was just saying goodbye to them, Neither of them had told each other of this happening till years later and they were adults, He loved them so much i beleive if he would have done this if he could

The message I received from my late mother via a medium and her friend who drew the picture she was seeing as the other spoke, was such that I fully believe now. There was no way anyone could have known about the subject my mother spoke of except me. The picture was exactly right too.

I agree with Dee - what we leave behind is our 'life after death', so all the more reason to try to do something worthwhile whilst we are alive. Jacqui

It's my opinion that life after death DOES exist, but only through our children, grandchildren etc. Our genes carry on through the generations. That is our only immortality. Dee x

I have had a reading many years ago, like susie,s quote. Put me back on my heels a lot. Must admit to being very sceptical about all spiritualists; tarot; palmistry and the like - but that is just my opinion, based on a fair bit of knowledge of such people. Hope I,m wrong. Hard to see how anyone can provide proof of after life, but with so many wonderful inventions going on........ thanks to you all for your interest.

Hi Harry, very interesting topic. they will never prove it one way or the other, they will try but its something(in my opinion) that we are not surpose to understand, thats were faith comes in , you either believe or you dont, I believe and I have strong reasons to believe. Roxanne x

51% convinced there is some sort of life after death. Not quite on the fence, but close enough to get splinters.

I am - reluctantly - a bit sceptical, but would love to believe in it. I still can't explain a dream I had about my late mother-in-law, whom I'd never met. But that's another story! lol x

Your right Harry, Its faith that lets us believe that there is life after death. Many believers would say that our human mind cannot comprehend the thought of 'life everlasting'. Faith is a great comforter to those who have lost loved ones, and if believing in an after life helps them to bear their loss then they are very lucky to have the 'gift' of faith.

Have nudged that thread - sorry it wasn't Len's, as I've explained on the thread - going to take some reading now - but well worth it even if you just click around on a few pages.

Harry Report 6 Jan 2006 14:32

Dorothy, Didn,t know that. Len is older then I am. Feel free to nudge but I have a feeling it might contain peoples experiences of which we all have a few, me included. Really it is the thought of the possiblity in the future of proof. My mother had a near death experience of seeing angels, but scientists now say that that is a result of oxygen starvation. Will they ever be able to prove other things with all the modern wonders such as computers and space probes. Happy days. Thanks for your interest.

Hi Harry Len of the Chilterns had a fascinating thread going some months ago on this which ran and ran (700 -odd pages), shall I nudge it for you?

Can scientists ever prove one way or another.? Harry Houdini promised to pass messages back if possible. No messages with his secret code have ever been received. Most of us will recount some tale of a message from the dead, but can it ever be proved.? I have the odd tale of 'communication' but if I had to bet on it, would subscribe to the' when you,re dead, you,re dead'. theory. The bible promises, but doesn,t prove, and leaves it to faith. Happy days
