Hi Folks... thank you so much for all your messages... you can understand the relief! apparantly, windows had renamed all the files and moved them to different folders... this happens when Windows is reinstalled... most of the time!! sometimes it doesnt, so we were very very lucky indeed !! thanks again for all your lovely messages... it really helped me.xxx |

Em, I am so pleased for you, when my pC crashed, I thought everything was lost but my daughter got most of it back, she said it was like pujtting her hand under a blanket and finding it there. June xx |

Em So sorry . All that hard work and memories gone. Just by chance - were the photos emailed to you? They may still be on you ISP's servers or if like me your on AOL they should still be saved there. I do hope so. As far as im told, you need an extremely good expert to retrieve data from a disc that has been formatted and had a new copy reinstalled. Very difficult to retrieve the data but as I say, you need the expert. I wish you luck and send you hugs RC |
