Lynda - what wool are you using ?? I have tried SIrdar Boa - and Wendy Shimmer. Just so many colours to choose from lol - just doing one for my Mum in Wendy Shimmer Petrol - doesn't look very exciting in a ball but when you knit it up it's fab :O))

i think youd be better knitting a kind a tube, that way they put their head thru some how or wrap round neck then round back of head and over like funnel

Joan of Arc(hives)

Joan of Arc(hives) Report 6 Feb 2006 18:57

Anne, I think you need to cast off a few stitches mid row (how many depends on how many stitches you start with !). Knit a few rows then cast on the amount you cast off mid row again, so you are back to the original amount. P.S. You know that hind leg on your donkey, well mines missing now too !!!!!! A certain trivia person was talking to me past midnight last night god she can talk for Scotland pmsl!! :0) Joan xxxx

Little Lost Report 6 Feb 2006 18:56

Not seen any patterns for this but I suppose you would knit half way across a row then turn and go back again several times until the split was large enough then do the same on other side of row. Then when matching first side knit right across the 2. Any use?? GLoria

I'll go first :O)) I have a 'difficult' customer (lol) who wants a Keyhole Scarf ie with a slit for the other end to pass through. Can someone please explain to me how to do this?? The only online patterns I can find are in American terminology. Thank you xx
