No, Jill, I didn't ask how long she was going to be there. I don't think she knows at the moment. |

Thanks Lew for bringing us the update on the Queen. Ouch - I'm sure she must be feeling a bit sore and sorry after that pummelling. But she has a Wattler's spirit! If you get online Trifley - thinking of you and sending you gentle hugs. Glad the flowers arrived safely. Lew - it was me who just read Patricia Cornwall - not Jood. Good grief, girl, you've only been retired a week and you're declining into confusion already! What is Tempranillo?? That cat's quiet - must be cat napping! Fingers crossed for the numbers tonight :>)) Anna |

Arvo Wattlers. Just got back from taking daughter to Netball........they got creamed...lol Daughter did shoot a few goals but as she didnt get to bed till 5:00am this morning ( Girlfreind sleepover )..she was very stagnant around the court. Also, at approx 2:00am this morning i woke to much laughing going on in daughter's bedroom...so decided to investigate much laughter ( as ya do ).....walked in to find two very smiling 12 year old girls ( through gritted teeth ) with a 'Hi dad'..Er'mmmmm............sorry about the bean bag............which had exploded by being jumped on.......say no more. Dad ( me )thought the roof had collapsed, and snow had been pouring in. Now you all know why i am spending their inheritance....and there aint a court in Oz that can stop me.................. Its legal. Tony Oz..:>)))) |

Since no-one could help me define an imbecile in the 1800's - here is some info imbecile - 'mental age of an infant' idiot - 'natural fool from birth' lunatic - 'sometimes of good and sound memory and understanding, and sometimes not' It goes on to say that the Mental Deficiency Act of 1913 introduced revised definitions: idiot - 'unable to guard themselves against physical danger' imbecile - 'incapable of managing themselves or their affairs' feeble minded - 'needing care or control for the protection of themselves or others' moral defective - those possessed of 'vicious or criminal propensities' Then goes on to say that giving birth out of wedlock was considered a form of moral insanity and hence unmarried mothers were classed as 'moral defectives'. lunatic - retained its old definitions until 1930, when it was redefined to mean 'a person of unsound mind' I was particularly interested in the unmarried mothers being class as 'moral defectives' .. pmsl Jood |

it's interesting reading the 'occupations' of people in the union workhouses etc. theres a few imbeciles and idiots there. have sat on my rear end for the best part of today, with ergonomic breaks being quick trip to the shops - 25% of flash drives in one major dept store K. 2 items bargain priced apparel. discovered 'which bank' is open until 2.30pm Saturdays. medicare open until 12.30 pm so...can now stay in jim jams until 11 at least on Saturdays. Other than that rain has cancelled sheet and blanket washing exercise. made 2 different loaves of bread and date scones. after eating date scones, don't feel like dinner. Have read threads , played word games. thankyou for the ppt Laurie. We need to be constantly reminded how to be positive in our thoughts. After watching the news (I am just totally devasted with what is happening in some parts of the world - but I'm not getting on my soap box) it makes me count my blessings that we live where we do. Tony - my OH is the 2nd attempt. the first 2 kiddies grew up with him as father figure and we had another. After experiencing all ages at close range in a short period of time, he had a nip. he was a brave bloke. day trip to parramatta and had it under a local. Baby is now 13 and getting sorted to create his own havoc love yvette x |

Afternoon Wattlers Gee whats all that singing I can hear Oh its only Tony and Lara singing at the top of their voices somethhing about Good old collingwood pmsl. Congrats Guys. Mary I have everything crossed so hopefully you can make the meet. Lew what do we have to do to persuade Terry to put the holiday to Bright off just for a little while, or can you go before, like pack up now go to Melb tomorrow and be back in time for Casino meet, after all its not as if you have to go to work lol. DD arrived back home from their birthday outing at the Cataract Gorge to inform me that while they had a ride in the chairlift, her phone fell from her pocket, they retrieved the phone minus the battery. They looked all around and also had help from others that was at the Gorge but no one could find the battery, they think it may have fallen down between the rocks. I suppose the main thing is she still has the sim card, it is only a prepaid but still it has a bit of credit on it. I have no idea who is and who isnt going to the Sydney meet so Im not sure how many new faces I will see, oh well I suppose I will find out soon enough. Trifley, sending hugs your way. Cheers Sue |
