Good morning Wafflers, Glad the sickies are feeling better - Shiraz the new Dr Lew wonder drug !!! If we mix it with Anna's Southern Comfort, Tony's VB tablets and Oh Great Trifley One's martoonis that sounds like one hell of a party to me !!! All packed up - only thing out of the case is the gear to travel in - and darn it !!! I have heaps of space with nothing to put in there . . . but it will have to stay that way I'm afraid its pamper time. I am booked for a massage, and then the hairdressers for a 'creme bath' (best head massage and oil treatment going). This afternoon I have to go to the agent to sign the papers to buy a container of rice for the orphanage we support - so many middle men to get a cut - but at least we know the end result is food on the table not rp in someones pocket. The orphanage management is really good, they have a high priority on education, and many of the children go on to university. We know a young fellow who is an accountant who went through the orphanage. He is the one who recruited us and our friends to help. The children all look well nourished, and clean, and my friends who are doctors provide clinic there 3 days a week. The drug company another friend works for provides milk powder for the babies and basic first aid items. Ray's office is getting new puter system in a couple of weeks time and the old ones will be cleaned up and go into a the study hall - every little bit helps! Biggest problem they have there is that they are soo good to the babies, lots of mummies leave their babies on the doorstep. Just got a little duck joke . . . . guess who it made me think of !!!! Joodles, want me to bring you home some natural heating . . . I so wish it was transportable, not looking forward to cold again. I have had lots of contacts thru GR this past few days, two more this morning, so I am going to be busy when I get home sending off info . . . hope I get some back too !! Will close for now and go get pampered . . . cheers luv Laurie |

Hi Wattlers, Pretty boring here at the moment, I have been doing some stuff for Neville. There is a virtual organ you can download and play with. It a Wurlitzer. You are a rude lot, I know what you were all thinking. I think we are going to have to get neville a computer of his own ao else I will never get on again. Ah Laurie the pampering sounds blissful, I could do with some of that. Watty is having a nice stay on the Gold Coast, but I think when he leaves Trifley he may need a couple of weeks in rehab to dry out LOL Mary, If you are moving on the 7/8 you will be ready for a break on the 12th. It will give you the stamina to get back into the unpacking on the 13th. Donna, will email you. Which showgrounds are you at? Beaudesert or Canungra? Lew I hope you are feeling better, naughty Terry for passing on his germs. You should have banished him to the guest room. Yvette will get back to you. Soon We may be out for the next couple of days, so I hope you are all fit and well and ready for the weekend. Bye for now Luv SuzyQ |

Afternoon All, quiet day in Mudgee. I've just lay on the lounge and finished reading another book Michael Connolly 'The Poet'. It was interesting if you are into murder mystery types. Had another box of flowers and some chocolates delivered today as a belated birthday gift. The place is starting to look more like the florists every day. Well, I think I'll head back to the lounge and start another book. Terry has just brought be 3 more books by PD James. Oh the decisions I'll have to make. Seeya Lew Lew xxx |

Good on you Lew - best place to be on a cold day like this. .. I like murder mysteries also - can never remember author's names tho. Hooray, I'm off to the pub further down the mountain tomorrow to have a steak and salad with a g/f. .. I've been hanging out for a decent steak for ages and ages and I'm told they do great ones at this pub. .. Something to really look forward to. .. Yes I do get out and about - at least it keeps me sane and happy, but I do enjoy my times at home chatting on here, doing my Avon, doing 'Money', doing family history, just tidying up my computers, and also occasionally, a bit of ebay. .. I could spend all day here doing one or the other, but grudgingly do a bit of h******k. Brrrrr it's cold now and not even 4pm. The sun has trying to shine through some clouds and not having much luck. B*********r, I'm gonna put the aircon on now, I think I've been punished enough! Jood |

I really havn't done much tree, even though i keep saying i am going to get to it, just don't seem to, so many other things to do.... meet friends for coffee, drinks, meals, walks, . Come on here to catch up with all the wattle dust lol. Went to a Christmas in July the other night, great fun. Hope all the sickies are on the mend, there have been some nasty bugs going around. Hello Wattlers I tried to post a couple of hours ago but the GR site threw a hissy fit and closed down so I went and did the ironing :-( Hi Jarra....if you find the martoonie a little dry you can use Bianco (medium) instead of dry vermouth. If you don't have that then just use 2 lots of the sweet.......it really is a 'try 'til you like it' type of drink. Crew...good to see that you are feeling fit today.....obviously can't keep a good girl down...lol Big waves to everyone~~~~~~ I'm going to pack my bag for tomorrow. I'll check in later. love Trifley X |

~~~~~~~~~~~~to Vonny~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hi Jill Not much planned today. I do have to go into town and pay a bill that I would've paid yesterday had the bank not been shut due to technical difficulties. They said 20 mins but I had that Tesco thing to go to and by the time that had ended I just went shopping and then got home asap as my daughter phoned me in the supermarket to ask where I was and to inform me she was starving lol. |
Hi Wattlers Sandra, I was mentioning about not knowing England well as I have Arnolds in Camberwell and Pam mentioned she had some in Kent. Now because I get mixed up with what is a town and what is a county and I wasnt sure if they was close together or what. I know I should get a map and just look it up when a place is mentioned, but Im too lazy. Mmmm so you like a bit of mystery, have to wait till late next week, it may be interesting it may not, but Im getting excited about it :-)))) Yes we are so looking forward to Nans surprise party, all her children and most of her Grand children, and also some Great Grandchildren will be there. she doesnt like to be refered to as Gran Nan or anything like that, it is just Nan to her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren alike. She didnt want a fuss or any party for her 90th birthday she was wanting to wait till she turned 100, but we couldnt wait. Cheers Sue |
