Good afternoon please can I ask any of you that have any resources such AVRI and whatever to have look for this peeps birth for me for some reason after microsoft update my AVRI will not work HHHHHHelp Tony , His name is Maxwell George Stewart or was when he was born anyway it's rather sad really this chap we know up here has just told me that he doesnjust his fathers adoptive family as his father was adopted and his brother was fostered out and they were told that their mother and father were killed in train crash at Sunshine but when my friend checked the records of said accident there were no Stewarts killed in it at all, so maybe mum and dad split up and trying to be kind to the boys they were told that they had been killed and this was not so, any record of his or his brothers birth his name was Allan Stewart would be of help they could have been born he thinks in either Ballarat or Geelong around the 1909 c. Hello Raggy Bear welcome to our shores so glad it wasn't DVT just remember to drink lots water and move those legs and toes on the way home there is actually special stockings you can get to avoid it so maybe worth looking into them what was wrong did you feel bad when you arrived here it would actually be strange if you didnt feel wonky after all what you went through at home and the kerfuffle that went on I would have been pretty stressed I think. Do enjoy yourself you know you are not on the best side though of OZ don't you we over here on the East Coast are much nicer good looking peeps PMSl I'll start a civil war if I don't behave eh So glad it happened to you too Jood thought I was the only idiot who did that,I lose more messages than I post actually LOL Laurie too late to say but as you'll be at the archives but glad the ice did the trick and no,more pain that's really good so now you know what to do if it ever comes back . Vonny do you get sent home early for being naughty or good ? Lauria I go with Mary's advice and also too best to get a map and have alook on the internet so much depends on what climate you would like down sth is cooler in the winter and up nth warmer all year around and then even further up where I am at the moment have lovely warm winters and very wet and very hot and humid summer only two seasons wet and dry Oz is such a big place depending on what hubby does for work and weather will detirmed where you settle best to come for holiday and check out some of the places you have ;looked up on the net. ok going for beach walk now see you all later Lara |

Good Morning Wattlers, Thanks for lending an ear Jood, most welcome. Hope it wasn't my fault the soup burnt. Anna, did I hear you say you were a member of the red hat society? I saw the Perth group on Sunrise today. They seem a lot like the Wattlers to me. I am beginning to like being over 50. Laurie glad you are feeling better Raggy Bear, please to hear from you, now start holidaying girl. Fluffy Duck, I could almost see you waddling off to bed. Looking forward to you being back with us. Mary, I thought it was good not to have to listen to Kerrie Ann. Sorry she does get on my nerves a bit. I started to do some more Spring Cleaning today, thought I would clean some brass work that I have. Couldn't find the Brasso, Neville had taken it and I now had an empty bottle. Okay, I will give the furniture a really good polish. Guess what, no furniture polish. Also found an empty bottle in the shed. I then decided to give it up for the day, Ah well there is always tomorrow. ( and it isn't really spring yet anyway ) Now its time to make lunch, so I will catch up with you all later today. Well done Sue you have given me the will power to follow your lead. . Byee SuzyQ |

Yes Yes - Im having a bad day!!!! ... But I don't care! Two days ago I cooked up about 6 chicken carcasses to make some luverly chicken soup - oh I was looking forward to it. .. Dutifully removed all the bones (from which I had to handpick the meat off for my daughters animals - daughter being vegetarian) - put the broth in the fridge to set the fat. Well today was the day - skimmed the fat off - two lovely bowls of chicken jelly ready to cook - ummmmmmmmmmm .. tipped it into pressure cooker, had brekky - and hadt a change of mind of what I was going to do first. .. Sorted out some books in a low cupboard, then found myself drifting outside and looking at the despondent garden almost choked with weeds. .. Well I'll start on it I said to myself, I won't do it all, just a little bit, so I weeded and pulled and chopped, and I thought -' I wonder what the neighbour is cooking - hang on - is that coming from my place?' - but I have nothing on the stove .......... errrrr - wrong Jude, you put the pressure cooker on very low ... ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh - no more soup - just a brown congealed mess and a black pressure cooker. .... Well the remains of the brown congealed mess went down the sink, and the pressure cooker has been scrubbed like new - windows open (oh gee, the smell even went upstairs :( .. Renewed plans for lunch!!! .. Cant buy any more carcasses, as I usually go down the mountain to get them from the chicken places like Lennards. ... I know - I know - I'm a worry .. lol Shazz - cut out the laughing, I can hear you from here) Spring is definitely in the air and in my step. .. I'll just do one thing extra every day, something I've been putting off for a long time, and in another year, I'll have everything sprung cleaned! .. pmsl Jood |

Good Morning All Hope everyone is well or on the improve. I havent read back over last nights or this mornings messages as yet, been busy tidying house as landlord is calling in to look at dodgy heater, had to make sure washing was done and beds made. Anyway I am really pleased with myself. I mentioned to most of those at the meet in Sydney that I had lost 20 kgs well after the weekend I put a bit back on, not complaining though as I had a wonderful time. Anyway got on the scales this morning and I am back down to the 20 kg mark, was 96.2 now 76.1 thats in 28 weeks Yippeeee!!! Ok off to hang last load of washing on line. I will be back after. Cheers Sue :-)))))))) |

Morning all from a lovely sunny Botany Bay . . . another one like yesterday by the look of it. There are 8 giraffes with their heads held high, but their are two pilot boats on their way out so I guess some of them will have work to do soon - can't see what ship is coming in, it hasn't come to the heads yet. There is a dredge opperation going on at the end of the Nth/South runway - and all looks like it has got back to normal after the drama last night. We had a birds eye view of the emergency from the balcony. Your getting cheeky Yvette . . . been up since 6.10am, just let the puter sleep in. I AM PAIN FREE !!!! Seems the freeze job did the trick for me, had the best sleep last night - first one for ages. Fighting fit now so look out! OK - I am off to the Archives shortly, have collected all the requests so will let you know how I go. Will get going as soon as all the workers and schoolies get off the road. Glad you arrived safe & sound RG, hope you have a wonderful time. Well our little 'PRIZE' family are off to Hey Man, Hey Man, talkin about you - Hey Man ! today - enjoy !!!! and Jude & Ken are off to the West . . . we know they will be right at check in as Ken has a copy of the e ticket as well this time !! Have a wonderful time, you know you can always ship home the wine !!! Dont know if Honey Rum sent this to everyone or not . . . but here goes anyway !! ----HAVING A BAD DAY? These are all true stories! In a hospital's Intensive Care Unit, patients always died in the same bed, on Sunday morning, at about 11:00 a.m., regardless of their medical condition. This puzzled the doctors and some even thought it had something to do with the supernatural. No one could solve the mystery as to why the deaths occurred around 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, so a worldwide team of experts was assembled to investigate the cause of the incidents. The next Sunday morning, a few minutes before 11:00 a.m., all of the doctors and nurses nervously waited outside the ward to see for themselves what the terrible phenomenon was all about. Some were holding wooden crosses, prayer books, and other holy objects to ward off the evil spirits. Just when the clock struck 11:00, Pookie Johnson, the part-time Sunday sweeper, entered the ward and unplugged the life support system so he could use the vacuum cleaner. Having a Bad Day???? The average cost of rehabilitating a seal after the Exxon Valdez Oil spill in Alaska was $ 80,000.00. At a special ceremony, two of the most expensively saved animals were being released back into the wild amid cheers and applause from onlookers. A minute later, in full view, a killer whale ate them both. Still think you are having a Bad Day???? A woman came home to find her husband in the kitchen shaking frantically, almost in a dancing frenzy, with some kind of wire running from his waist towards the electric kettle. Intending to jolt him away from the deadly current, she whacked him with a handy plank of wood, breaking his arm in two places. Up to that moment, he had been happily listening to his Walkman. STILL think you're having a Bad Day???? Two animal rights defenders were protesting the cruelty of sending pigs to a slaughterhouse in Bonn, Germany. Suddenly, all two thousand pigs broke loose and escaped through a broken fence, stampeding madly. The two helpless protesters were trampled to death. What?? STILL having a Bad Day???? Iraqi terrorist Khay Rahnajet didn't pay enough postage on a letter bomb. It came back with 'Return to Sender' stamped on it. Forgetting it was the bomb, he opened it and was blown to bits. There now, feeling better???? Have a great day everyone - Cheers luv Laurie |

Hi Laura, You need to go to the Aust immigration web site if you haven't already, to get immigration requirements. I'm afraid the 10pound deal has been finished for a while :) (joke) As Mary said, the biggest cities are Melbourne and Sydney they are also the most expensive but have more opportunities. I personally like Canberra :) especially for a family, but Brisbane and Adelaide are nice and so is Perth. Hobart is a lovely city but I'm not sure of job oportunities. Darwin is Hot but you might like that :) it also has a more laid-back style. If your Hubby can get a job with a company over here first, then maybe you could come out here and 'try before you buy', then you will have a better idea if you like it. Sometimes peeps come and then get very homesick. Or, you could be like my neighbours and come out and have a ball and hope never to go back :) Night to all, ~~~~~~~~~Vonny |
