boiling up the carcasses, now that sounds like a fun activity! you can guess what immediatley sprung to mind. anyway i'm just having a lttle break, thought i'de drop in. hope all the sickies are feeling better soon. make sure no kissies with other peeps. droplet infection Craving for something yummy, I'm trying to stay on the straight and narrow too, do not need the extra kilos. I'm sure they snuck home from Sydney with me. i'm now officially overweight I should have bought a couple of bananas. A lady I saw in Coles said she had seen them for 3.99 kg up around Coffs just lately - ??? they were 12.99 in coles. might make a cuppa. fluff - are you part of the LDS congregation. When my son was in Taiwan, the people he worked for and lived with were too. they were lovely to him. I was so greatful that he met them because they treated him like part of their family. when i went to visit, they were just so welcoming love Yvette xx |

Good evening to all the Wattlers Louisa bit late I know but have just read the story in shortened form and I am really thrilled for you do hope it continues being a good story and you get to meet all the cousins and your brother too how exciting it must be for you as know when I find an ancester I get excited so can just imagine how this makes you feel. Lew Lew sorry Bright was not so good how can those people live there and not use heating its freezing in the winter up there, you better dose Terry and Wittle Wattie up on the Garlic and Echinacia tablets so as they don't succumb to the dreaded lurgy too. Jood sorry about your soup hehe my Mum put the pressure cooker on one night and forgot it and it blew up and it was all over the ceiling it was spagetti and meat balls in meat sauce she had in it too so can you imagine the mess we cleaned it up pmsl and then dad and I painted the ceiling and replaced the curtains and the blind in the kitchen cause they were cactus. They do make fresh chicken stock you can buy in the supermarket now Jood and all the chef's on tv use it so must be ok . Rebs have you given us away girl ? or just having a break from the boards don't know if you reaking havoc on the GB as don't go there anymore can't be bothered with the BS that goes on over there Patricia nice to see you on here we are leaving here on the 19th of September and going to Townsville for a couple days and then down to Mackay for couple days and then Maryborough for couple days too before Woody Point so will see Cilla and Pat and then Fluffy Duck too doesn't look like I will be there when Laurie will be but maybe catch up some where along the line. Gwenda girl you best wrap your self up in cotton wool and get into the garlic and echinacia and drink water it works if Mike shows the first sign of a cold it knocks it on the head . Jood if you think you had the URI too I read a good thing for that on that site where they had they things to use the sheets you put in the tumble dryer for things they weren't intended for , they said at the first sign of URI drink a big glass of alka selzer it's not advertised for it but does nip it in the bud so no harm trying it if you think you are getting that again anytime which is not nice. Also you can use those bounce sheets for any saucepans that have something burnt on the bottom and you can't get it off put bounce sheet in and cover it with water and leave over night and whatever is burnt and stuck on will just peel off in the morning. that might also come in handy for you Jood. Devily just saw the score for your game wow go Hawks Tony how's that mate 'GO PIES you little rippers' now just relax and not too many VB tablets and if Sarah is stuck in toilet for a while would be checking the phone calls mate LOL . Anna Osso Bucco yum would like some of that might make some up jhere one can only eat so much salad eh . Trifley you sound like you are going along ok and the arm seems to be getting a little better isn't Bowen Therapy different you know I trhought the lady who did my knee was just trrying to find something she just kept moving her fingers around the area and I thought wow whe she said thats it should be a little better in a couple days which it was . Today I went to a cent sale where you pay to get in buy tickets and then put them in containers for the prizes you'd like to win I won nuffin at all, so left there and came back to Mission Beach and went to the Banana Festival at the local primary school do you know that they are allowed to have alcohol bars at their primary school fete up here its unbelievable, anyway bought some lovely plants to take to Cassie and Jason and they were bargains end of the day so as many as I could put in a box and they would be 10 dollars so got a gardenia a palm and some bromiliads too and some others that are that maroonie colour and green strappie sort of plants they all grow like mad up here , if you like a plant you just cut a bit of and wack it in the ground beside it and with in 2 weeks will have taken root its amazing. Also at the festival General Cosgrove was there that's Pete to his friends, he judged the best set of photos telling the story of Cyclone Larry so I walked up and shook his hand and told him the last time I saw him he told me to call him Pete and He said 'yes why not' and he said he was looking for Lyn so was able to tell him which direction she had gone in Mike and I went to a reunion in Deniliquin and he was the guest speaker tjere he was great and such a down to earth bloke. The Festival finished off at 8pm with a fire works display and silly me thought it would be a little bang bang thing crikey it was to rival the Sydney Harbour New Years Eve one all the dogs owners in the van park had been warned and took the dogs away from the park for the time it was own we stayed here and Billy nearly freaked when it started as so close but we nursed him and reassured him and he was fine and now snoring his head off on the bed . ok now folks war and peace is finished talk to you all later hello to all and bye for now love Lara |

Just a quick waddle through. Not feeling crash hot tonight. Went to the dr this morning, spent some time on a nebuliser and walked out with antibiotics and prednesone. Not happy taking prednesone as it will stuff up my blood sugar levels. Just have to keep testing them. I'm happy to say I didn't have puddy tat's problem of trying to get my antibiotics. Laurie, let me know when you are coming to Bribie. Wilson, just let me know when you get to Burpengary, quite often go down there to the LDS church. Hope you enjoy bending the plastic on hey man Tony. Have a good time. Your digs sound just wonderful. Mary thank you for the info about the train and bus to Mudgee. Hadn't thought about the train. Will check it out in the next few days. Jood, did you have chicken soup for dinner tonight? lol Anna, did Katherine enjoy her camp ? Tassie, they (footy team) are doing well tonight. Hi Donna, glad to hear things are settling down. Hi Lew, bet you're glad to be home. Take care all Pam |

Lew Glad you are home.. Turn up the heating and get warm.. Nothing worse than not feeling well and cold as well.. Nothing like you own home..Sorry Terry didnt have a good time skiing. tell him to try NZ next time.. I hope he hasent caught the dreaded lurgy.. I found that the strepsils were a good help and I am now on the mend side of it and hope to be back to normal soon.. just a little croak left, and the coughing is easing.. Try a Trifley martoonie or a Anna Southern Comfort.. may not cure but will surely make it less visible...LOL Take care Love Mary xxx |

Hi Lew Lew - welcome home to your lovely airconditioning! Sorry you've got the dreaded lurgy - now Gwenda has taken my advice and tossed down a good belt of Southern Comfort and it's done wonders for her. I keep on telling everyone that Southern Comfort works amd no one believes me! By the way - lovely weather in Qld - 30 degrees forecast for next week! I made Osso Bucco for dinner - it was yummy. Have been naughty over Winter and put on a few kilos - Yvette - help - I need you! Byeeee Love Anna |

Greetings Wattlers! We're now home from 'skiing'. Apparently, the Alps have had the worst season in 30 years. This confirms Terry's belief that he's better off skiing OS every year. Wattie had a nice break and I will post some photos shortly. The lurgy has now really set in, so I'm not a happy Jan. The people we were staying with, although a great couple, don't like to spend money on heating, so it was freezing in the house the whole time. Eventually, Terry talked them into turning on the air conditioning (too late, as the cold had taken hold) and they turned it up to a sweltering 15C! Aarrrgghhhhhh. Tony, mate, you sound like you're having a great time. Good for you and Barb. Enjoy! I'll chat again soon. Lew Lew xxx |

I'm not home Tuesday night either Vonny, but no doubt Lew or Laurie will keep an eye out for that particular lotto. .. I can check it myself when I get home about 1/4 to 10. Hi Pat - I still haven't answered your email - been side-tracked on some family history again. .. I get a rush of enthusiasm every now and then! ....... <Pat, I HAVE to be called Jood, as we have a Jude2 & Jude3 - I was originally Jude1, but messed up .. tee hee> Gwenda - the fire brigade are only 3 doors down, and I NEVER see any hunky ones walk past. .. I rang them up to put the batteries in my smoke detector alarm, and they sent two old blokes up :( .... not only that, they drove their truck. ......... I guess they thought safety in numbers with one lady :( .. I asked them why they brought their truck (from 3 doors away) and they said 'oh well, we thought we might need a ladder' .. lol I always thought - handy having the fire brigade so close, but knowing my luck, they'd probably be out fighting bush fires when I need them .. lol - I have the police and ambulance close by too, and the railway station, plus x-ray, Dr, & Dentist (the latter 3 I won't touch with a 10 ft pole, would rather drive a distance away) I can't guarantee nothing else will catch fire or get burnt, but these chicken carcasses aint ! I'm about to go down and have dinner, so will turn it on again for a little while. Jood |

I think Glenda must have a Fire stn. nearby. I must sound like a terrible woman (god gave us eyes to look?) but I could never work out what women were going on about with the men in uniform bit, that was until they built a firestation up the road. Well they usually walk down the street about lunchtime. Fave part of being home at that time o' day. Got to go and check dinner, I'm a good burner of meals. love Yvette ps can you rembember the joke about the 2 blondes, one on either side of the river, suppose better tell the rest (again) 1 blonde yells out to the other 'how do you get to the other side of the river?' the other yells back, 'hellooo, you are on the other side' just added a bit to another thread and felt like i should explain. Vonny, its your callenge to find that - if you are finished with the planks hi pat yx |

Jood - you'd better have the firies on standby when you do turn on the pressure cooker - with a bit of luck they'll send a big spunky hunk - lol Either the tablets have kicked in or it was the very stiff Southern Comfort that has eased the sniffles - let's hope it stays that way now. Tony - hope you're enjoying all that sun - sounds like it's the only thing going for free - lol Lew Lew are you okay - hope your cold hasn't knocked you out - how's Wattie - has he been skiing yet? Off to top my pizza, back later Gwenda |

Afternoon all, Did plank 12 this morning :) then out for the day with the (big) kids to Namagi National Park. Had a picnic and a gentle walk and then explored the historic Orroral Tracking Station (sp) beautiful weather although the wind was very cold. Hope you are feeling better for your day at home Gwenda. What is this mass exodus to QLD??? I have noodles (pool) that I can bring for February for the Aqua class :) So Jood, hows our Charcoal Chicken going?? When are you burning (ooops, cooking) your next lot of carcasses? LOL. Hope you eventually get your soup! ~~~~~~~~~to Tony and Barb. What a life. ~~~~~to Wilson. Hope you Northerners can get together again. Anna, going to be funny not watching the numbers tonight. AND I am at a dinner on Tuesday so won't be home till after nine. Tony I hope they gave you some spending money as part of your prize. .. Live like Kings and Queens and make the most of it! Every time I go into Control panel - add remove programs, I have a giggle when the message says 'Please wait while the list is being populated' - almost sounds obscene, doesnt it .. pmsl I also get a laugh when at the end of a msg the Wattler says 'Martooni time, Coffee time, tea time', - and poor old Jude sits here with her bottle of water,, hahaha Well I handwashed the car in the garage, but whats the bet when I get it out in the sun it will look grotty and only half done. .. Probably have to take it to a proper place to get washed .. tee hee Am concerned that Lew Lew hasn't been in touch - so much for the wireless connection. .. I do hope she is well. Also Rebs - never see her at all these days. Jood Oh by the way, I bought some more chicken carcasses to put in the pressure cooker (relax ...... its turned off) .. pmsl |

Hi Wattlers How quiet it is on here today - a beautiful day in Qld so I guess everyone is basking in the sunshine. I am thinking of Tony and Barb lazing away on Hayman Island. Some people! And Wilson is up in sunny QLd too - Hi Wilson, enjoy your time with your sis. And Lyn is headed our way soon! Mass exodus to Qld! Sounds as if you will be heading up this way soon too Laurie - glad you are feeling better. My David had shingles when his immune system was really low and I know how much he suffered. So many people still under the weather - Fluffy is crook, and Gwenda and Puddy cat and numerous others it seems. Take care everyone. Katherine has come back from camp with a cold but it hasn't stopped her from going to a friend's 16th birthday party this afternoon. I imagine she'll be like a dead duck when she gets home though! Jood - your story about the chickens reminds me of when my younger brother and I were home alone for a few hours when we were kids. We decided to make toffee and the wretched stuff stuck to the suacepan and we couldn't get it out so we buried the whole disaster - saucepan and all - up the back paddock. Mum never did find out what happened to her saucepan! Donna - so glad to hear that Daniel has settled - I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. Kids - they are such a worry. How are you gettitng on with your grandson Jill? I hope you are making some break throughs with him. We had a lovely few days in Brisbane. Chris loved Menopause and I enjoyed it just as much the second time as I did the first. Only niggle was our seats. When Trifley and I went, we had great seats down the front first third of the theatre. However, even though I phoned the theatre for seats some weeks ago, they stuck us in the 2nd back row and the seats were all wobbly and kept pitching forward unexpectedly! I complained after the show and they said they didn't know there was a problem with the seats - can't believe that someone hasn't complained before! How you doing Trifly? From your recent posts it sounds as if you may be making some progress with the alternative treatments. Sending hugs - hope you are feeling much brighter. I am off to Brisbane again next Thursday - just for the day - on a bus trip with my Family History Group. I'm going to a talk on shipping at the State Library so am hoping to get some leads on a few people. Lew is very quiet - hope the snow has improved for Terry and Wattie and that Lew is not too sick with her bug. Mary - the end is in sight - not many boxes to go! You must be so pleased that there's a light at the end of the tunnel! You have to cope with your visitors first though! Well - time for a coffee. Catch you all later. Vonny. I'm looking forward to Tuesday! Love Anna |

Afnoon all. Sunny but not to warm,, just put my jumper back on... Gwenda Glad you are taking a sickie today as if you have got the universal bug it is not nice and a day in bed would do you good..And I am sure the others in the office dont want to share it with you..I got some Strepsils for coughts as I was getting coughing fits and they were wonderful..I am starting to feel a lot better. Hi Sandra It took me ages to get on the General Board this afternoon. Dont know what GR are doing to it..Thought for a minute they had done away with the boards and was just about to email them and complain..Had to laugh at the changeover shift for the children,, I had to do the same thing for my daughter when we both worked at Manly Hospital. She would work nightshift and I would look after the baby and in the morning I would put the baby in the car and drive to the hospital for work and daughter would finish work and drive home with the baby..Well organised I thought...Hope you are feeling better and the dreaded lurgie has cleared up.. Fanny Glad you have got the priorties right.. Printer cartridge first and food second...you are well trained... Wilson Have a lovely holiday in Queenvages..with your sister.. I can hear the chin wag from here... Laurie Glad you had a good time at the Archives..Tell me something as I am not up with archives, but is there a place one can go to find births around the early 1900's where you get to see the name of the parents as well, or do you have to get the cert in order to see it..I have the parents names but dont know if they had any children and dont want to order umpteen cert in order to see if any belong to them..As they got married in 1903 I cant look on a census. Can anyone tell me where to go to see if they had any family..They are all in the UK. Joodles Had any good chicken soup lately?????luvly grub...LOL Trifle Hope you are feeling better.. A few more martoonies and you will feel no pain... Donna Hope things go well for Dan and he settles down ...thinking of you...One thing I dont have to worry about is spring cleaning.. it is nearly spring and I have just done the whole place and that will do for this year..LOL Heather . Yes it is so good to now be getting settled in our new home.. It suites us to a tee and we feel very lucky getting such a nice unit..and so convenient to everthing.Couldnt be happier... Pam If you are going to Mudgee for the meet you have to get the electric train to LIthgow and a bus meets the train and takes you to Mudgee.. Look up the timetables on State Rail.. you can book on line also but you must pick up your ticket within a certain time..I love the train trip up as I used to get it to visit my daughter who lives in Orange.. The train is nice and relaxing and the bus is very convenient just outside the station..if your trip is around a meal time take something with you to eat as sometimes they dont stop for a meal. I usually take a sandwich and a bottle of drink to keep me going..Not every rail trip to Lithgow has a bus to meet it so check the timetable.. Finished the boxes for now.. 3 went down to the garage and as they are only books they cant come to any harm, I only have 2 stacked in the corner so that is good.. The place is starting to look nice and am now looking forward to the new dining setting and loung comming soon. Starting to feel more relaxed... Better go and have a cup of tea so back later.. Love to all Love Maryxxxx Hi Cat Glad you have got your tablets at last.. What a sad system you have..I thought ours was bad enough but it is not that bad...Hope you get well before the meet as you dont want to feeling under the weather then,, you can do that all by yourself,,a martoonie or two will do ,,kill or cure you...LOL |
