Just checking in before I hit the hay - For those not at Yarrawonga, Vonny's John did a marvelous job of restoring the boat . . . a real craftsman - so lovely to see old wooden boats restored to their original beauty. Well done Rebs on the dress and to your talented daughter. Sorry to hear your thinking of not renewing GR membership, we have missed you this past couple of weeks. Trifley, either of those dates are good for me . . . I think Ray has some meetings arranged for Monday 4th, but other than that we will just be doing jobs around home. What are the plans ??? Did I see Suzy invite us to hers ?? maybe if that was the go we could all bring a dish to share ??? I will fit in with what everyone else prefers. OK, - off for some zzz's night all . . . . cheers luv Laurie |

hi gals + tony if you're there. finally finished the 'paper' did it in the best ohs way, have a break every 40 mins. I had a walk just before lunch, put more red in and resisted eating rubbish. golly thats hard. thankgoodness we didn't have any laying about. well count me in on the weight loss effort too. I've got 4 kgs to shift, but whether its 4 or 40 it's going to be an effort. still 'aww'ing at cillas love story. stuck a bottle of red in the fridge, yeh I know it doesn't need to be there, but... we haven't even opened it. possum is asleep on the lounge watching bleak house. They watched a couple of Dr Who's this arvo, and I amazed myself by keeping away. kiddies are all stuffed from cricket training, clever chook losing a kilo suzi! best thing about the x's is you can do them where ever you like, if any body else wants some things - ideas etc, you'll have to pm me. bil and sil got cheap flights to vietnam, $300 for 10 nights. we never saw them either, you think they would have told us. they went to Byron for $5 too the other weekend. Don't matter, Possum said he'll take me somewhere nice when TAFE and Uni finish for the year love yvette x |

I got one recently and they are great. Hi Rebs...congrats to you and your daughter. You are obviously both very talented women. Laurie...Graeme's mum & step father lived in Forster but volunteered a lot at the turf club at Tuncurry. Graeme has just come home with his new roster so we can now make plans about the mini meet. He has Tuesday and Wednesday 5th & 6th sept off. Any takers for a get together on either of those days? Coffee time, Trifley X |

Hi Folk. l haven't been on for a while as l've been chained to the sewing machine from 8 am till after midnight every day. Breaks for coffee and the occasional pee. lol! Anyway, finally finished dress at 5.15 yesterday afternoon. We had to be at Tara House for the comp by 6. Judges must have liked the dress though, not only did she win all three of her dances, but she graded in all of them, so now she goes into intermediate level for those dances. This will be my last post for a while as my membership runs out and l'm not sure if l want to renew. To be honest l can't say l've missed the boards over the last few weeks, and l've got email addies for all the nice peeps. btw, email is up and running again, l just have to get through the back log.............. mostly spam offering me the opportunity to experience ejaculations like a porn star or viagra to 'keep it up longer' lolol! wonder if peeps actually get paid to send out this stuff? Anyway, hope everyone is well and happy. Big hugs to anyone on the sickies list. Hope you feel better soon. Catch up with some of you on mess maybe. Byebye for now, love Rebs x |

How are the rest of the sickies - Trifley, Jood, Lew Lew, Gwenda, Mary, Raggy Bear No Yvette, not a member of the LDS, just go down there to do research and order in Parish Records to go through. Have you finished your essay yet ? Laurie, did you enjoy your birthday party. Did the guest of honour sleep through it or did he have a ball. Probably a little overwhelmed buy all the celerbrating. Lyn, did you find your recipe book yet? Cilla, I didn't know your story. I haven't been a member all that long, although its seems like years and years. It was a lovely story and I hope you have Jim enjoy your years together now. And I think you need a lappie. Jood, did you have a win at the RSL or did you just make a contribution like I normally do. Vonny, I can just see John putt putting away on one of the planks. Mind boggles lol. I have finished collecting all my cencus |

Good evening Wattlers, Well we are partied out . . but have had a lovely time with or little Indonesian family, Chole was so cute - after I had given her the little bag of goodies for her, she took them up to Ray and said 'Unlce Ray, Aunty Lollie has made a bbbiiiiggg mistake, so you had better take this bag home because it's not my birthday untill 26th October'. Carlton had a lovely time with his fingers in the cake when Dad was a bit slow on the uptake. Irene & Henry managed to get some of the tickets Jetstar offered at $7 each plus tax so are off on a months holiday to Bali & Java. (Friends in Qld managed to get the same deal . . . how come noone told me about them ???) Trifley, did Graeme's parents live at Tuncurry too ?? My folks retired there in 1966 (decimal currency day 14th Feb) and I finished school there - well semi retired anyway. Dad was the Sec manager of the Taree Bowls Club for a few years, and Mum worked at both the Tuncurry and Forster Bowls Clubs. Lovely place to live in the off season, but in the middle of summer it is chaos. My first full time job was at the Cape Hawke Advocate. If we meet before the 1st of Sept it is just me - the week after TLR will be with me. Anna, my Paul did a multi media course at QUT - mind you he never worked in the field - did part time work for me and then decided to stay in the disability field. Talking to him today and he is going to leave that next year after 10years, and start up his own personal trainer bus up on the sunshine coast. Pam . . . were you the little census lady who tried to get his form off him yesterday ??? said he posted it on Friday. Glen and Narelle went out to my house yesterday to have a clean up for me - didn't have to get on the mower as the place is so dry everything is dead. Guess I will have to have some extra long showers next week to give the sullage hose a good go at putting some moisture back into the garden. 6.30pm and it is still 16deg here - been a beautiful day on the bay - lots of activity on the water, family on picnics - still some out there for dinner. Soup for dinner as lunch was a feast - would love a lamb roast, but couldn't fit it in . . . .so catch you all later Healing thoughts for the sick list luv Laurie |

G'day Wattlers Queensland has gone from winter right to summer. All our doors and windows are still open....it's a bewdiful evening. I feel sorry for my sister and her husband. They live near Cooma and have just returned from a holiday in Europe and England. Poor things have sweltered for 5 weeks now they are freezing their buts off. I keep telling them they should move to Qld! Aaawww...Cilla...that is the saddest, lovelliest story I've heard. Love is lovelier the second time around. Laurie....Graeme's mum's ashes are at Tuncurry too.....at the winning post of the local race track! She was a volunteer at the track for many years so the management kindly let us spread her ashes in the rose garden. I'llcontact you about dates for a GC mini meet. Yvette...I think you spelt that word wrong. Footballers have nice ars*s.....not arms...lol Gwenda...glad your cold is a bit better. Joodles...any luck at the RSL? Lara....I could have told those researchers you loose weight if you sleep ...can't eat AND sleep...pmsl. Vonny....at minus 4* is John putting in or on the water? It would almost be frozen. Mary..have you had a chance to wander around your complex yet? Do you have a bit of a yard? Poor SuzyQ...that headache sounds like a migraine. Perhaps you are allergic to something in the mix. Oh dear!.....no more spring cleaning for you...lol Jill.....pmsl....'germy little buggers'...had to laugh. that describes kids to a 'T'. Don't worry....we wont forget you for a mini meet. How did you find out about this BMD transcriber thing? Sounds interesting. Crew...keep warm, plenty to drink and you'll be better in no time. Most of all.....think happy thoughts...that always works for me. The animals are starting to circle the wagon train so it must be dinner time. I'd better go feed them. love Trifley X |

Hi Wattlers Another day at a University Open Day today - this time our local University of Southern Queensland. Katherine is not impressed which is a bummer as it would be so much easier if she studied locally. If any of you are up with the Pop groups - 'Youth Group' was playing at the Open Day so Chris and I have done our penance over the last 2 weeks - Evermore last Saturday and Youth Group today. I do like Youth Group's big hit though - 'Forever Young' - a good philosophy to live by! Seems as if you have to have a big name pop group at Uni Open Days to draw the crowd! Jill - I must tell Katherine about Hitler's Daughter - she is besotted with anything about Hitler's regime - they have been studying that period as part of their modern history course. Sounds as if the play will be great. Let us know how the transcribing goes - can you elect to do transcriptions for your area of interest? Yes Tony - were meals included in your holiday? You will sure be flogging the plastic if they weren't. Ah well -' SKI-ing' will be Chris's and my motto after we get Katherine through Uni - 'Spending the Kids Inheritance'. You can't take it with you! Hi SuzyQ - bit of a worry about the Brasso - the cure is stop the Spring Cleaning immediately! Hope you are OK and the headache doesn't persist for long. Take care won't you. Trifley - let me know about dates etc for a mini meet and I will consult my diary! I'm actually doing a bit of relief teaching early next month - that will be a shock to the system! Cilla - I hope you are writing your memoirs - such a beautiful story. How wonderful that everything worked out for you all. Lara - I definitely think we should have a Wattler's support group for losing a few kilos before Summer. SuzyQ and Lew were talking about it but I haven't heard anything more. I would be eager to join in - I need some motivation - apart from fitting into my jeans again! Maybe we should have a weigh in and a pig pen like they do at Weight Watchers! We'd have to swear not to cheat though! I had a lovely surprise this morning - received email photos of my cousin's daughter's weddding in Wales. The guys wore Welsh kilts - the young people speak Welsh and English. Oh, I want to go back there again! Cooking a lamb roast for dinner so best go and prepare the vegies. It is smelling good - I always rub plenty of garlic into the lamb. Catch you all later XX Anna |

Hello Wattlers, fantastic weather here at the moment, at last it's getting warmer. To all the sickies get well soon. I ended up having two colds this winter and I hadn't been sick for a couple years. I put it down to having more contact with the g.kids, germy little buggers, lol. Cilla your story brought tears to my eyes too, I'm so glad that you found each other again. We want pickies of the wedding. I'm taking my two grandaughters to see the play 'Hitler's Daughter' next wednesday. Jackie French wrote the book and my niece prepared it for the stage. It's a lovely story, although written for the twelve to fourteen maybe fifteen age group I really enjoyed it. Lucky me because of my niece we get to see it for free. I've also registered to be a transcriber for Free BMD, bit worried about knowing how to use the puta properly but they have assured me it's very straight forward work. I'll keep you posted. Any mini meets fairly close to home coming up I'd love to be there. luv Jillx |

Afternoon Wattlers, It is getting hard to keep up with you all, but I will try. Cilla, your story is lovely, made me want to cry. one of the other wattlers is in Mackay as we speak, sorry can't remember who. Think senilty must be setting in. Actually I have a thumping head ache. I have just been having a lie down so it is feeling a bit better. Yesterday, whilst shopping I pick up a bottle of Brasso, the old one being left empty by OH. When I picked it up something got on to my hands and within 1 minute I had a violent head ache and then thought I was going to black out. Its a good job Neville was with me. I am just hoping I don't get the same problem when I actually use it, then again, I will be able to pass the task on to Neville. Anyway, I still have the head ache. I have now completely forgotten everything else I was going to say. Oh yes, sorry to hear that you are no better Lew. I hope that you soon feel better in your own home. Trifley and Laurie lunch here still stands if you are interested. If you don't feel up to the journey I am happy to meet up some where else. btw it will only be a salad or something simple. maybe a quiche. Just a warning. Mary you will soom be able to breath a sigh of relief, nearly unpacked. Then you will decide you don't like where every thing is and move it all around again LOL Raggy Bear, hope your leg improves soon. btw, where in North Yorks are you from? I am from Bradford. west yorks. Tony, did you say all your meals were included in the prize? It is to be hoped so if the drinks $ is anything to go by. Everyone on hols have a great time. All you sickie please get well soon. Jood, not the sniffles again. You should have stayed with Laurie a bit longer. Yvette, I have lapsed a little with the excersices sorry, but I will get back on track. Have lost 1 kg this week. Well, my eyes are starting to deceive me, I am seeing double so must go. Luv SuzyQ |

No Lew I wasn't from Mudgee i just went there for a few months before my daughter was born as things were different then you know the shame of it all. Jood can I please have a list of wattlers as the only email addy that I have is Lara's. Lara Yes Jim does play golf but is a bit rusty he got a new set of clubs when we ordered the shed & his niece bought him a buggy for his birthday I wanted to sell them but that didn't go over to well. As far as our story goes Jim & I were separated when I fell pregnant & my stepfather distroyed his letters & the army stepped in & moved him so we had no contact as we didn't know where each other was.I met him again at our daughter wedding & after his marriage broke down I contacted him just as a friend & 5 years later here we are together forever, I came up here to live just before Christmas & we have bought a house & couldn't be happier. We are hoping to get married as soon as his divorce is final Mine was final in June. Our daughter wants to plan it for us a I want a beach wedding (so I don't have to wear shoes)we wanted to just do it quietly but there is to many people who said that we can't get married without them Lara included she has said that she is going to be a bridesmaid. Oh well we will see what happens. Gotta go as Jim has just cooked lunch for me Love Cilla. |
