Ooo Jood, you sneaky little thing, you! Morning Tassie and Laurie. Hope all the Wattlers have a great day. Had a bit of a Salvos clean out yesterday, so the wardrobe is looking a bit neater. Shock, horror, I also got rid of some shoes (now there's more room for new ones, lol). Good for you and your daughter, Rebs. Don't forget to keep in touch with your Wattler mates. Nothing exciting planned for today. Doing some FH and scanning some old photos my Aunt has lent me. Cold is under control, although the head's still a bit blocked up. I've just had a bowl of Lowan's pecan and apple porridge, yum. Chat again shortly Lew Lew xxx

Good morning Wattlers . . . another glorious sunrise on Botany Bay this morning, glorious colors !!! Just a little bit of fluffy cloud in the sky which enhanced the sunrise. Already this morning we have had a 'block of flats' depart, one can only hope that they were full - hate to think of empty containers leaving our shores - not good for the balance of trade which we all know is up the creek anyway. Only four giraffes with their heads up, so things are relativley busy at the port. Oni just on the phone telling me about an antique auction helod at WW on the weekend - no dealers turned up and things went for a song, all beaut stuff too from a deceased estate. Ah well, wouldn't have anywhere to put it anyway (but I then I do have plenty of room up home now with son moved out) !!! Marie and Oni found an old photo album up in the top of a cupboard my dad used when he first moved out to Maries - description sounds unreal, velvet with a pic on the front, inscription in fly from gtgran to aunty Jen, on her 5th birthday in 1908. Can't wait to get to see the photos. There is also an old tapestry, made in memory of a rellie I haven't found yet . . . so have a new name now to look for - very odd !! I found a branch of Rays family with the help of a cert that arrived on Friday, that had been a brick wall for me, too many Taylors for me to be sure which one it was, but once I was sure the darlings were so kind to me 61 census and the gtgtgrans had her parents living with them . . . 41 census and the gtgtgtgrans were living with his parents. Dont you just love it when that happens. Vonny, I am going to have to edumuckate you too - I have just got Ray out of saying I am playing on the puter! I am not playing, I am communicating, researching, learning and enjoying leisure activities!!!!! Well I have another big day - back out to the Archives and some jobs to do for TLR, so best get my skates on. Have a great day all - hope all the coughs and splutters are gone this morning. Cheers luv Laurie

Gidday to all, I meant to congratulate Rebs on the lovely dress she made for her daughter, plus congratulating the daughter as well. .. I hope you drop in from time to time Rebs. Well, the chicken stock is in the fridge now, waiting for the fat to settle. .. Hopefully tonight I'll be having soup, but I will be watching over it like a hawk .. pmsl (Well hawks do watch over chickens dont they? lol) Lyn, hope your son's little darlings have a great time in Canberra .. I don't think I could ever be a teacher with a busload of kids!!! .. I honestly don't know how my daughter does it either. .. Such patience and dedication. .. Give me an office any time .. lol Lew. hope you are perking up now. .. And Gwenda too. Mary - slow down there, stop and smell the roses, but oh noooo, Mary has visitors today - no rest for the wicked. I'm off out - again. Jood

I'm up Lyn, since I only got home about an hour ago - been catching up on the threads. To all those who were overly concerned about my wins at the RSL club - relax - being a caring honest person, I donated it all back to the club. :( Pam - I should be having chicken soup in a day or two ppppppp Take me off the sick list - I dont really have a cold, just some congestion which is hard to get rid of - and a little sore throat. (worse in the mornings when I wake up) .. I'm ok, honest! All this talk of mini meets in Qld .. Hmmmmph - no-one has taken up my suggestion we Sydney-ites have another one. .. Just a wee one. I'm off to bed, its been a looooooooooong day. Lew, Gwenda - hope you are feeling much better, and other sickies too. Cilla - loved your story - sooo romantic! ps - apart from Tony - does anyone have access to Pallots Baptism Index - I want to look up something c 1815 Jood

Gosh - so many long posts to catch up on. Evening to all those still up - by the time I get on here at night everyone is in bed!! Cilla - yours was a great love story. Fluffy - No I didn't find the actual recipe I was after, I sat up till gone 3.30 looking thru all my maggos. I know there are heaps of recipes on google but I particularly wanted that one as it had a muesli style topping. Never mind it will show up when I am hunting for another recipe no doubt! Anna - good luck with sorting out Katherine's Uni. My dtr (mature age) applied to Qld and Uni of NSW and ended up getting into both. I was hoping she'd opt for Qld, but she decided to stay here at home and go to NSW...... Have been out airport and dropped off OH . Wonderful sunny day to fly out of Sydney. Thought I would have a nice quiet evening on my own but married son (school teacher) decided to stay the night here as he has to be at school to take the kids on their school camp by 5.30 a.m. (And course the school just happens to be around the corner from here).. Watch out Vonny for a busload of 10 yr olds screaming their head off, they are heading to Canberra for all the usual sightseeing..... Tony - I've written my WattleLotto date on my kitchen blackboard so I won't forget to put the winning entry on! Lew - Dtr rang from Queenstown today and said snow and skiing there is fabulous. She also said NZ is much cheaper than the Oz skifields. Good idea about Yvette getting us into shape at Mudgee, she can conduct some aqua classes at the Country Comfort Inn. OK all will say goodnight and catch up during the week. Lyn
