Evening Wattlers, another beautful day here today, they said on the radio to expect 30c on Friday, I better go dig my shorts out and shave my legs. I use *free BMD UK * a lot and have often thought about becoming a transcriber, so yesterday I took the plunge and clicked the button, got loads of info so I followed all the links and ended up registering. I have already been sent some work but have a slight problem with downloading some software which I hope my cordinator can help me with. You work at your own pace just maybe an hour or two a week. So far so good with g.son I pop into the school nearly every day and he knows that so I think it helps. Mini meet dates of either 6th & 7th should be fine with me. Glad all the sickies are on the mend luv Jillxx

Hi Joodles...NO the massager thingy is NOT banana shaped! It's called a 'USB Massage Ball'. It's round, kind of like 2 fried eggs put back to back. It has a long cable which ends in a USB plug for the puta. You then put it against your sore spot while you are puting. I've had it sitting between my shoulder blades (bet you thought somewhere else...pmsl). It was sent to me by a couple of caring friends. I'm a very lucky person to know such people. TX

Donna. I'm a realist mate, but i have a lucky mrs......:>))) Also...I'm not bringing up a young family, and if i was,( the 80s ) i would be at a caravan park down at Inverloch with 5 screaming kids......hee hee There is no way in the world i would spend a week on Hayman at these prices. Been to better Resorts for quarter the cost. But while I'm here...i will force meself to indulge.........coz I'm going back to work on thursday morning, in a cold and most likley wet Malbin town. Arvo Wattlers. Just popping by to say G'day. ( while the internet lobby is free ) Daughter is using lap top so cant get on it...lol Another lovely day on Hayman Island. Tried the worlds largest Cocktail yesterday......:>))) took me 45 min to get through it.But i managed...it was very difficult....( ahem )....lol Have walked all the tracks available around the Island, and quite a nice spot. Wouldn't recommended Hayman for the average family man with alf a dozen kids. More for the retired..... or couple's that have shares in a bank. Impossible to read all the threads that peeps have written, but someone asked was food included in the prize Barb had won. Yes, all tucker was included. Drinks and snacks were not. A rough cost to stay on Hayman Island. If we had to pay.( for what the prize consisted of ) Room per night. $980 Food ( Tea ) for 4 peeps = approx ) $ 400 upwards Breakfast ( per person ) aboot $40 ea = $200 Wine = $12 per glass( cheapest ) and anywhere from $60 to $200 upwards a bottle. Cocktails from $15 upwards. Worlds largest Cocktail ( aboot a Litre ) $30....:>))))))) ( knocked off a few of these....) A cheap lunch: Toasted sangars and fries for lunch ( snack ) aboot $30 ea. So a week up here at your expense, would considerable bend the plastic outa shape.....might even snap it....LOL Back to reality on Wednesday. Better go wake Barb up ( shes having a afternoon nanny nap )..lol plus its nearly happy hour.......... ...agin!!!! Av a good un. Tony Oz...:>))))

Afternoon All Well I will be with any who want to lose weight. I know what a struggle it can be sometimes when you dont have anyone to talk to. Yvette, Im surprised you would fit into the o/w catagory. Anna thanks for the site that automatically adds your details wight/height to get ideal weight. I looked at how Yvette told us to do it and thought ugh thats too hard to work out lol. Anyway I went and had a look and I just scrape in at 24, so I can still lose a bit more, I did however see down the right side of the site, the plan I have been on to lose my 20 kg, didnt lose it as fast as they say,but I'm not complaining. Cheers Sue

sorry to resort to shock tactics and hope haven't offended anyone. they are the clinical definitions. over half women and even more men in australia are either o/w or obese. check ABS report on the nations health for 2006 we (wattlers) can make a difference. i'm in for www gotta fly, just felt bad adding that and running off yx

YvetteDD Report 21 Aug 2006 03:42

check bmi weight kg divided by height in metres (ie 1.64)squared so weight/ height x height = bmi 18 to 25 OK 25 to 30 overweight 30+ obese. no carbs after 2.30 is misleading and (prior experience) makes your brain go dull the idea is to consume low GI carbs ones that keep you full back later. btw - I am o/w love Yvette

good morning all Anna you are right all who need to lose weight welcome to join mini wattlers weight watchers we all should srtart by running the tape over ourselves as some times inches come off before the weight drops any great amount I will say we(mostly me)all need to remember to do certain things like drink as much water as you can 8 glasses minimum a day I am going to put a 2 litre bottle of water in the frig and try to drink it all in 24 hrs, My main hitch is walking I get so tired then can't do anything else for the day so wonder whether it actually helps me by walking and then sitting around the rest of the day will try though. Last year I started using the protein powder Cassie was selling made by Aussie Bodies Gosh you would have laughed here's us getting round in a beautiful little royal blue car with Aussie Bodies written on it in bright yellow, when I got out of it would have given some people a shock I told Cassie she need to give me a sandwich board with BEFORE written on it and She could have the one with AFTER pmsl. Anyway the main thing was before any thing touchs the lips drink a glass of warm water with the juice of one lemon to help the liver, and for me was no carbs for me after 2:30 to 3 each day I used to mix the protein powder with my cereal Spec K half a cup and dessertspoon of all Bran skim milk and one slice of toast no marg or butter and vegemite or w/w jam and cuppa with skim milk no sugar as usual, but the trick was before my next meal at 10:30 pm I made myself drink huge glass of water each meal and Cassie said to eat at least five or six small meals to make the metabalism start working again and let me tell you if I had stuck to it I would have been half the size I am now as in 12 weeks I lost just over a stone and a half, so am trying to get back into it with the intention of staying on it until I am a reasonable weight again This is my simple promise we all need to take this oath....... We the members of WWW (Wattlers Weight Watchers) do promise ourselves we will do our very best to lose some weight until we are happy with our shape . ok my little boy needs a bath so will be off now talk to you later got to drink some H2O too and eat another meal omg love Lara

Well Wattlers a first for me . . . I am sitting under the golden arches having a coffee and using their wireless facility . . . and it works !!! Just had to try and get on to tell you the latest . . . Marie has just phoned again, with the most amazing news. While still cleaning out the cupboard in the spare room, she has found a box of things my Dad has obviously left up there and the little black book is in there When my gt uncle Joseph Harry Parks left Oz to go off to war (WW1), he started writing a diary in his little black book he kept in the top pocket of his shirt. He wrote in it every day, until it saved his life, he was shot - but the bullet went no further than to be lodged into the little black book. Marie has read out a few of the entries to me, it even has names and addies for his cousins in the UK. I have tried to find out where the book went for so long, I knew of its existence because as a child I was shown it and Uncle Joe would tell us stories. I knew that Dad had it, but he could never find it and we had (sori siblings) assumed that someone had made off with it. I'm a wreck - torn between sanity and just driving out to WW ! Off to the Archives . . . but wont be able to concentrate !! Cheers luv Laurie

Morning All Rebs, firstly I didnt congratulate you and your daughter on the great job you both did with the dancing comps, and secondly, we have and are going to miss you on here, look forward to catching up on messenger. Jood I hope you enjoy your chicken soup, after all the effort you have put in it, savour every mouthful lol. Well have got over the weekends footy, now listening to radio and they are actually taking about the 'Hawks', probavly because they will be over here this coming weekend again, anyway they touched on the subject that a couple mentioned on here over the weekend, didnt go back and see, but the subject of cute guys and cute a**** came up, Gee I didnt think everyone looked pmsl. Ok I was going to go to town today, but it I cant get motivated, so I might just bum around home in my daggy trackies and maybe pack some stuff out of the cupboards we havent used for ages. They might even go into a garage sale when we get settled in new house, along with some of the excess furniture. Might even rake up enough money for another trip lol. Cheers Sue
