Morning all.. Just a quick one as I have to get our Kiwi some brekky and I am partial to some myself. To our friend Bev. asking about Lancaster in New Zealand.. The only place we know of is a place called Lancaster Park which is a stadium in Christchurch, now called Jade Statium.. In the older days it may have been the name of the area and got its name that way... Off to have a lovely day shopping and lunching at the Club on the beach and a bit of sightseeing..Its a hard life but after our stressfull few weeks it is nice relaxing therapy,, not good for the figure but I will join the WWmob when I return to good health.. They do say feed a cold and starve a fever so I am doing the feeding part,,, See ya later Love Maryxxxx

See told you someone would rescue us before I finished. Has anyone else got the 'Baby Suri really exists! Click for Pix at the top - I had it yesterday and by the time I mentioned it to daughter I had gone to next page and all I had was a white banner with nothing - not that I'm going to click - think he's a right t****r Hi to Shazz, Jood, Laurie & Vonny - earlybirds Gwenda

Good morning WWWattlers, Just rescuing us from page 7 - of course by the time I finish someone might have beaten me to it....lol I will have to join the WW group as I am the high end of overweight but a word of caution to anyone over 60 the BMI does not apply. There was a newspaper article a while back stating that it's fine for over 60's to carry a little extra - emphasis on the 'little' tho. In our later years when illness strikes we need the fat reserves to get us through. You will recover faster than some skinny mini who has nothing in reserve. Here is my recipe for blender lemonade - I start every morning with this and it is so easy to make. Cut the ends off one lemon and then cut lemon into 8 pieces, place in blender with 1 pint of water, blend on high speed until lemon is finely shredded, then strain. Every morning I have a cup of this juice with a squeeze of honey, microwave on high for 45 seconds and drink. Gets your system up and running and like Lara said is good for the liver. Hope peeps with the lurgy are on the improve - I'm heaps better altho still blowing my nose but not as often and the cough hasn't come to too much either. Laurie - congrats on Marie's find - can't believe you haven't headed off to pick it up tho - I would be itching to get my hands on something like that - best things I have are my 2 grandma's birthday books and an address book - my maternal grandma was very family orientated and kept up with several generations when others would have stopped so when I have time her books will keep me going for quite a while. Jill - congrats on your transcribing - what area have you got? Tony - now we know why Barb won the trip to Hey Man - so you two could get hitched without having to pay for it - pmsl Saw the tail end of the Great Outdoors last night - even that wasn't cheap - a quick trip down to Brighton would do me if I wanted a beach wedding. Is anyone voting in the Cleo Batchelor of the Year - we have our very own batchelor in the top 50 and he's on top of the voting at the mo - he's not the best looking but with all the radio staff voting non-stop he's way out front - check it out - some nice eye candy amongst the 50 - hubba hubba Have a new washing machine arriving today so I'd better get going - other one had CRAFT moment again yesterday and wouldn't perform so decided to get rid of it rather than pay for another repair. Off to get brekky, shower and tidy up the laundry Catch up later Gwenda ~~~~~~~~waves to everyone~~~~~~~~

Hello everyone Sorry, you have a foreigner invading your thread here!! If anyone from New Zealand should happen along, please could someone ask if there is a place called Lancaster in New Zealand. I asked on Tips and despite much map searching, it couldn't be found, but I seem to have acquired a number of ancestors apparently born in Lancaster, New Zealand. Many thanks, enjoy your day. Bev x

Good morning Wattlers. (Hiya Jood and Shaz (see your on msn. . . ) Another glorious sunrise on Botany Bay, so many colors - a little haze on the horizon, but it just makes it all the more spectacular. I think it is going to be a lovely warm day. There are three giraffes with their heads up - and an oil tanker has just started to enter the Bay. Well sanity prevails - no quick trip out to West Wyalong to check out the big finds from the wardrobe clear out - I will just have to wait until I get back from up home. Hope you all have a lovely day, I will . . . after I have been to the accountant (which will be like a trip to the dentist) - I am sure TLR pays him extra to take me on a guilt trip !!!! It's gone - I spent it - get over it !!!. Best go get some chores done before I head out cheers luv Laurie

90-year old George went for his annual physical. All of his tests came back with normal results. Dr. Smith said, George, everything looks great physically. How are you doing mentally and emotionally? Are you at peace with yourself, and do you have a good relationship with God?' George replied, 'God and me are tight. He knows I have poor eyesight, so he's fixed it so that when I get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, 'poof' the light goes on, when I'm done, 'poof' the light goes off.' 'Wow!' commented Dr. Smith, 'That's incredible!' A little later in the day Dr. Smith called George's wife. 'Ethel,' he said, 'George is doing fine. Physically he's great. But, I had to call because I'm in awe of his relationship with God. Is it true that he gets up during the night and 'poof' the light goes on in the bathroom, and then when he is through 'poof' the light goes off?' Ethel exclaimed, 'Oh, my goodness! He's weeing in the refrigerator again!

Evening all :) Oh Laurie, what a wonderful find. When are you going??? :) Fluffy, hope you are better real quick. I did the BMI and it says I am just within bounds but I KNOW I am out of shape. Gotta start walking. Last day of teaching tomorrow for a few weeks. I'll be glad to have a break actually. The next lot of staff should come within the fortnight. They are having some visa difficulties. Gee - not going near Hayman - no way we could afford those prices. Hope you have a great time Tony. Does Barb do competitions while she is on holiday?? Night all, going for a squizz at general but it is a sad place lately. ~~~~~~~~~~to all wattle friends :) Vonny

Evening wafflers Thanks for all your well wishes. Feel a little better today, at least I can breathe a little more normally instead of gasping for breath. For anyone with a clogged up head, if you can get any Rawleighs Ready Relief use it, really good for using as an inhalent. Couple of drops in a bowl of boiling water, towel over the head and breathe. Then a few drops on a tissue at either end of your pillow in the pillow slip. Don't forget to take out the tissues when you do the washing tho lol.... Laurie, wonderful news. I would be already half way there if it was me. Couldn't stand the suspense. Thanks for the funnies today, but I don't think I'll read anymore for a few days. Massive coughing fit, sore ribs. Lara, start walking in small doses to start with. Start with 5 mins for a few days or a week, then build up to 10 mins etc. until you can do 45 mins then gradually increase the pace so that before you know it you are doing the same distance in less than 30 mins. I don't need no graph to tell me I'm obese, I know it. Have been slack on the exercise myself lately. Trifles, is the massaging thingeee helping. Jood you really are norty. I think it is off to 'that' corner for you. lol Did you enjoy you soup ? Jill, I use that site a lot as well. Have found lots of info through them. Stuff I can't find on familysearch, I can usually find on free bdm. Only thing I find is that you have to be spot on with spelling etc. Some of oh's rellies in one family have 3 different ways of spelling the surname - makes it a bit confusing. I might even make the mini meet with a bit of luck ! Had an email yesterday through GR. This lady and I share the same gt grandfather. We emailed each other and it turns out she is my Dads cousin's daughter. I used to travel by bus to work with her over 30 years ago. She lived just down the road from me. She now lives at Narangba and her Mum is at Morayfield - not far from me - so I have emailed her to try and organise to meet her and maybe her Mum. She said she had only been on the GR site for one day and had found me and a lot more info on her Dad's family......amazing, she said, she is just so excited. Vonny, I just got the traffic jam message too. Not impressed. Also really really slow. Hi Wilson Enough waffling from me Pam
