Morning Wattlers. Computer problems this morning. Laptop is connected, but the 2 desktops can't find the internet, ggrrrrr. Go Figure!!! Computer Man is coming sometime today. We had a power outage, I've rebooted the modem, but that doesn't explain why the laptop works. Laurie, Farmers Daughters Wines are very good, so go for it. Ah, Merriwa, Cassilis, Dunedoo, you guys are all playing in my backyard, lol. SuzyQ, you're very quiet. Are you okay? Well, I'm off to have some porridge. ~~~waves to all~~~ Lew Lew xxx

Good morning Wattlers, another beaut day on Botany Bay. The sun is ashinin' . . . the waters are blue . . just one little giraffe with his head up, so lots of activity on the docks. Actually the water is so clear and clean, from on the balkooney you can see straight thru it - I could start up shark patrol !! I have a girlfriend and her mum coming for lunch today, so have to go get some supplies. I'm thinking smoked salmon and salad should go down real well, with a nice cold chardy. We will sit back and watch the world go by - tough life, but someone has to do it. My friend has just come back from a trip to Canada, so I am looking forward to the tales and pickles. Well Tony - last look around paradise, just a few hours and you have to be back on that plane. About time Barb won another holiday so you have something to count down to - but then you do have the family increase ahead of you to count down to. I'm sure the girl would love to see a countdown on the fridge door to delivery date!! Ah well better go do some chores - hope you all have a wonderful day! What ever you may be doing - do it with a smile Costs nothing . . . great returns !!!! cheers luv Laurie

I'm the opposite, I hate staying in bed .. lol Here's some info bumsoddy might be interested in: Census of New South Wales - 1841 Now Online at State Records NSW A household census was taken on 2 March 1841, from which a small proportion of household returns survive. Apart from the names of both the head of the household and the proprietor, only statistical (i.e. aggregated) information about the household. Nonetheless, if you know the likely family structure, it is possible to relate some information to known individuals. Details shown - Householder Name, Place, Proprietor Name, Dwelling Construction, Number of Persons (total and free), together with statistical breakdown by Age, Civil Condition (convict, free etc), Religion and Occupation, all subdivided by Sex and Marital Status. AO ref: X946 - X951, 4/1243, 4/1244 Purple Bar Muster of Norfolk Island - August 1844 Return of convicts only. Original in Tasmanian Archives. Purple Bar Censuses of New South Wales - 1846 onwards Censuses were held on 2 March 1846, 1 March 1851, 1 March 1856, 7 April 1861, 2 April 1871 and 3 April 1881 but have not survived, except in abstracted form. A census taken on 5 April 1891, and the collectors' books survive, but they provide the name of the head of household, but no other detail at individual level. Purple Bar Censuses since 1900 Australia federated in 1901. Censuses have been held in 1901, 1911, 1921, 1933, 1947, 1954, 1966, 1971, 1976, 1981, 1986 and 1991. Each has been destroyed after statistical extractions have been made, and the same is planned for 1996. There are other censuses and musters - see this site: http://members*iinet*net*au/~perthdps/convicts/census*html This info is probably a bit much for you so early in the morning .. pmsl Jood

I have a dear friend whose family is from Cassilis - not far from Merriwa. The Hegarty family. Trish and I worked together before we were married and even though she still lives in Sydney, we have always kept in touch and I visited her last year. XX Anna

One for Lew when she surfaces tomorrow . . . I have been offered some wine - but not sure of two of them have you heard of Three Crowns ???? (its a Barossa 2004 vintage) What about the Mudgee Red from out your way - on Cassilis Rd - called 'Farmers Daughter' (2003 vintage) ??? - both those on offer are Cab Savs I think. Not real keen to buy what I dont know anything about. Going to groogle but thought I'd ask as well. luv Laurie
