Laurie Report 26 Aug 2006 06:44

I'm a bit like you this afternoon Yvette, diddling . . fiddle farting . . . playing silly buggers . . . getting diddlye squat done !!! (Can hear my mum saying all those funny little sayings) Ray is just having a little snooze before he goes off to the footy - I have loads to do, but no inclination to do them. Just got an sms through from the new mummy, Colleen, and she said Sarah is sleeping (not her favourite thing to do) and they are both doing well today. It is lovely from my perch looking over the bay - sun is out, although there is a lot of cloud about - there is a cold wind, but it is coming in from the s/w and I dont get any of that on the balkooney. SHips have been in an out, tugs have been very busy, and there are no idle giraffes, all of them have head down moving containers from and onto ships. Lara, so glad that Cassie & Jason have finally had their day - lets hope they can get someone in to fix the house now and they can get on with their lives. I'll spread the word about EZI-HOMES. You wont know yourself Flakey, when we moved down here it was our first time as Darby & Joan, love it now, though I still miss the boys. I never want to live with them again. Your girls will be OK, just enjoy the rehersal! Happy anniversary Vonny & John, hope you have a lovely dinner with your family, and well done on the boat, its looking good! Tony, lovely pickles - thanks for sharing. Lovely looking mermaids, did you notice how the second one of them biggest cocktails is so much heavier than the first ?? and how sweet of you to buy Barb such a lovely little possie of flowers - (what caused the smile after the visit to the Jewlers shop ?? ) Gee Gwenda your trip to USA is close now - you will enjoy it !! Have you been to NY before ??? Well TLR is up - be back later luv Laurie

Diddling about, finding it too hard to concentrate on the tasks at hand ( essential stuff, has got to be done) Its middle childs 20th b/day on tuesday and am waitng for him to return from footy to get a pressie. have got the bass practice happening in the background coz possum and miles have just replaced their strings. sounds ok for the time being. Think I might get you to add me to the Lotto list - please. I can give you 3 forms of photo ID but no credit rating ( its got to do with the tin box aspect of my life). I was talking to a friend up the street today, and she told me how her and her oh won 1mil. in '96. (yepo she still plays lotto) she said I must be the only person about town that didn't know. I touched her hoping some of that would wear off onto me. Better put it to use. love Yvette xxxxxxxxxx

Afternoon Wattlers, well just. Spent all morning washing, now there is only two of us and water restrictions I have cut the washing down to once or twice a week now, a few black clouds so hope it dries. Everyone sounds busy, I have several projects on the go and sometimes wonder which to do first. Congrats to the new parents Laurie and Aunty of course. Sorry to sound boring again but we are 5 days away from the end of our limit and we have managed to keep it down ,it's now 75% of usage so I'm asking please no more jokes in particular picture ones until at least after the 31st, I will be so glad when our contract is up with telstra in Jan Hope you all have a great Sat what ever you are doing Cheers Sandra in the Gong

Hi ya Flakey don't tell Mike but I will be barracking for the Cats too today only for Josh though as Mike is very mean about my team and I told him I wasn't going to barrack for them any more as second team. Fell very relieved now as Cassie's house drama is over no more, except to tell everyone who lives in Queensland that they must tell everyone they know that EZY Homes are the worst pack of B*****ds ever and not a builders A*****e sorry for the language but couldn't help it. Don't want anyone's friends or rellies to go through what Cassie and Jason have. Good Luck Devily will watch and wave to you so wave back, you should have a sign saying hello wattlers that will make everyone curious see practising now ~~~~~~~~~~~~ 'Go Hawks' Cilla sorry tell Jim I want him up an umpires chair please with 202 when I get there , and please can you have learned the piano by the time I get there I have always wanted to learn too ,love piano music but think I might get one that is a Player piano and then just have to pedal, more chance of actually being able to recognise what is being played that way.LOL I don't go on General board much Cilla but do hope Jules is Safe and they find her soon Mary want you in that pool today is it heated or indoors ? Hows John any better ? Tony want a puzzle to work on mate this bloke here is so keen he is going home to adoption agency to try and find his birth grandparents names, They were supposed to have died in a Sunshine train accident but when he went to find them on the deceased list they were not on it at all so we have figured this must have been the story his dad was told as alittle boy as to why he was adopted out his brother was only fostered out but stayed with those people all his life too . His father's name was Maxwell George Stewart he was adopted by the Mortons in Geelong and his brother Alan Stewart was fostered in to a Wangaratta Family and was very well educated and became a Patholigist but Doug would like to find out what happened to his grandparents and why they just up and left their sons . Doug said the areas to look would be Geelong and Ballarat I have printed out all the Stewarts in Geelong Cemetary but until he finds out hopefully from the adoption papers his grandfather and grandmothers name its a bit hard. The only way I can think to find them is to find THE BIRTH of Alan and Maxwell George Stewart with the parents names there. Would be grateful if you could think of any other way to help him or if you could find these births for me anywhere as something wrong with my AVR mate can't get it to work Going out to hang some washing sit a while in the sun and read before Footie is on ~~~~~~~ to all havn't spoken too this time PS Lew sent pm love Lara

Morning Wattlers, just a quick hello, we've got a very busy weekend. Daughter no 2 is off to London tomorrow night to spend a month with her sister. We spent 3hours at the travel agents yesterday getting the last seat to London til next thursday. My fault I wasn't happy to let her go til I knew that the 22nd had been passed safely ( that was the day the terrorists were going to hit). This will be a retirement rehearsal for us, first time for 28years we have been child free, dont tell the girls but I am loving the idea....lol Congrats to Laurie on the arrival of the new bub. Nearly forgot GO CATS!! Get off the puta and pack Tassie. Have a good weekend everyone, will catch up later if I can Flakey

Good Morning All Well it is a lovely cool but sunny day today, a great day for the footy. We're all up, showered, had breakky, made lunches and packed our day packs. all we have to do now is load the car up with cheersquad banners, floggers, flags etc and off we go. We will do an hours work in the stall before we sit down to have lunch, and lubricate the voice, all ready for the game, with our front row seats in the cheersquad section. ~~~~ to everyone and I will catch you all later~~~~ Cheers Sue

Morning All from a sunny, but windy, Mudgee. Nothing much planned for today, just scanning some old family photos. Jood, I just remembered I'm going out for dinner tonight, so I can't do the Lotto. Anyone else available to post? Don't worry Trifles. By the time Sarah Louise comes home to Mudgee, I'll be well and truly over the lurgy. I would never risk it. Can't wait to give her a snuggle. Okay, still waiting for postal addresses for those coming to the Mudgee Meet. I already have Jood's, Vonny's, Shaz's, Trifle's & Fluffy Duck's. I have the tourist guides ready for sending, so let me have your addresses please. Vonny, you and John should be very proud of that boat. Incredible! Big waves and hugs to all the Wattlers, especially our SuzyQ with her dodgy sciatica, ouch! Lew Lew xxx

Good morning all just popped in to say hello & see what everyone is up to. Has anyone else read the genes board today Jules from Hove(I think) has been missing since Monday & everyone is very worried as she left a note saying she wanted to go to a better place her uncle has been putting up messages for a couple of days.It is very worrying for her family & her little girl is missing her. Lara don't worry Jim will scan the yard before you get here & make sure there is no nasty's & I look very closely before I go out the back door to make sure there is no Joe blakes. We are going out for dinner tonight to a great chinese restaurant for Jim's nieces birthday so no cooking for me tonight. We have finally had our piano fixed & are now waiting for a reply from ebay as to how much money we can get back from the seller, for those who don't know what I am talking about we bought it on ebay & when it was delivered 11 keys didn't work we tried for ages to get the seller to fix it but he wouldn't answer emails & his contact details were false.any way we had it fixed ourselves cost $108.00 & opened a dispute with ebay. Now all i have to do is learn to play it,look out neighbours. Will catch up with you all later Luv Cilla

Hello Wattlers I've had a busy day today and missed my nanna nap this arvo so I'm a LOT tired tonight. Got 'punctured again this morning.....it must be working as my arm feels a lot better. I also have a bit more movement in the chest area. I went back to the Dafy stall this arfternoon to hunt down a yellow wrist band as they didn't have any yesterday. Managed to snaffle one off a Cancer Council rep so now Mark is happily wearing it on his wrist. I guess this little episode of mine has affected him more than I realised. What's this I hear about a new little Pink Smurf? Welcome Sarah Louise to the wonderful world of the Wattlers. Louise....thanks for your good thoughts. I'm sure the love and support I've received from Wattlers, such as yourself, has helped my recovery. Vonny....the Cormorant is finally starting to look like a boat. You and John are doing an amazing job. Devily...good luck with the packing. Mary...any sign of the web-site pickles yet Crew...are you feeling better? You can't visit the new Pink Smurf if you have the lurgy. Shaz....have a great time in Newcastle. Kids birthdays can be fun. Hi Yvette, Tony, Lara, Joodles, Duck and all those I've neglected to mention. i hope you all have a fun, relaxing weekend. I'm finally off to bed...night, night everybody. love Trifley X
