oooo drugs. nasty. my prohibited import was an electronic fly swatter, like the plastic tennis raquet... went thru my bags - whats this- illegal!! makes you feel silly hey. kids are at cricket, i'm going to all the things i now wish i'de done yesterday. wattle day always seems too late. although it means spring and thats great. the other day when I got to work, the wind was blowing the wattle. you know how it goes into big puffy clumps. well, i got 'clumped' . yellow wattle in red hair. i thought it was lovely. made my hair smell nice.lol yvette xxxxxxxxx

Morning Wattlers Just quickly popping my head in as I have visitors and am busy being the hostess! Vonny - bad luck about the boat - nothing is sacred. Men have no sense of occasion at all. Glad you had a good dinner. Pity about the numbers - there's always next week. Did you all realize that next Friday is September 1st - WATTLE DAY! We'll have to have a special celebration. Morning Wattlers . . . and a happy Sunday to you all The sun is just coming out of the cloud cover on the horizon, and looks like it is going to be a lovely day on the Bay. Up at 5am, and as I was making an early cuppa already the tugs were bringing in the first (unless one snuk in while I was asleep) ship of the day. Have just returned from taking TLR to the airport and I have a funny one to tell !!! Did you hear the one about the lady on the most wanted list for smuggling drugs into the UK ???? Thats me !!!!! I got the little card in the mail on Friday to pick up a parcel from the post office . . . when I picked it up yesterday, they handed me a plastic bag containing some of the things I had posted to Deb & her family in UK - back in April. There was a note from UK customs warning me about sending illicit drugs in the mail !! Anyway while I was at the airport this morning, I sought out a customs officer for an explanation . . . they were very nice, looked everything up for me and explained what would have happened. Among the things I sent Debs, was a set of little canisters containing Australian herbs . . . apparently one of those herbs belongs to the hemp family !!! OOOWWWAAAHHHHH . . . . I'm a drug smuggler !!!!! LOL PMSL etc etc etc Little customs man suggested I write a letter and gave me the info on the herb to include, so that I dont have any trouble next time I travel in Europe !!! Ah well. . . can't say life is dull !!! Rotten sods though . . . they also kept the Tiger Woods PGA tour game that I sent over for Peter. Funnily enough, the Aussie childrens books are missing - but they gave me back the Kiwi ones - dont know if that implies that the Aussie ones are no good and had to be thrown out, or the Kiwi ones weren't good enough for them to keep . . . Ah its good to have something to laugh about !!!! Off to make a cuppa and watch the day unfold luv Laurie

shame that I didn't have more of a problem getting on GR. I may have done a bit more of something else, but i've had a lovely relaxing day. 'Why do today, what you can put off until tomorrow?' Not a watcher of footy, only watched Dr Who and sometimes get the end of Ms Beer and that cheeky chef during the week. Read my paper mostly on line. As for growing old disgracefully - you go girl!!!! Hello Wattlers I've had a lot of trouble trying to get onto GR today. Rest of the internet was fine....just couldn't get on here. I eventually had to Google GR then managed a connection that way. Strange! Hi Cilla...do you know how to get to Carnegie Hall?.......Practice, practice, practice! It's great to learn a musical instrument. Yvette....I'm sure we can trust you to buy the Lotto but what the heck does 'Tin Box' mean? Vonny....hope you and John have a wonderful anniversary. Flakey....you and OH will love being alone for a while. Kids are wonderful but it's great to get back to being just a couple. But don't worry.....they don't stay away for long. Mary....we used Norton on the old '98' and Mark's laptop and had nothing but trouble. We ditched it and now use AVG. Lara...glad to ear Cassie & Jason are finally OK with their house. EZY homes is now onj our list of taboo companies. Sandra...I've never heard anything good from anyone about BigPond. OK...no big emails 'til next month. just been doing f/h. amazing how easily I can get distracted by it. Found within the last 7 days, members of my family added to s/ones tree. I had written to that someone last year, they didn't write back and my tree is not open to them. wrote 2 letters today, wondering if they are gonna write back. be good if they have penetrated my brick wall for me!! love yvette

Hi Wattlers.. Well it took from 2.30 this arvo to 8.30 tonight to get me orted out and downloaded by son and by the time I got everything else sorted out it now tells me I am back to normal and can now receive emails..Boy and I going to ditch this Norton next year, wont go through that again, they can have it..AVG for me... Plain to see I still didnt get to have my swim in the indoor heated pool but TOMORROW I WILL.....LOL,,,,,I promise Lara..... Arvo Wattlers. Well..... Sue ( Tassie ) will be a happy little Vegemite with a win for the Hawkers. Thought i saw you Sue, but not sure. They showed the game on Fox Footy channel. Mary. Thank god it was a freebie mate, coz we were on there Web site ( Hayman ) last night, and Barb discovered the room we stayed in was $2,100 per night.( room only ) Couldnt see it worth that price myself, but then.... HAYMAN ....might mean HE'Y MAN.... you gunna be broke when ya leave here.....lol Laurie.
