Morning Wattlers, we have a cloudy but fine day here today. After all the cream and pork rind and other yummy food, I only put on about half a kilo, so thats not too bad. Lara Happy Birthday to you, it is also my Mums, birthday today, it is only fair that 2 great ladies share the same birth day, Mum was born 7 years earlier. Well that is 3 down one to go in our birthday fortnight, birthdays in my family that is. I hope you have a terrific day and it is all you hoped it would be. Lyn, Yes I do know how lucky I am to still have my Nan, she is the only one of my Grandparents still alive, and I was lucky enough to know 3 of the 4 grandparents. Had to laugh with your comment on our roads over here, although they are getting better I still think they can improve a bit. But as long as you respect the conditions and the roads you are ok and they are quite safe. We don’t get traffic jams like in mainland cities but we do get a small peak hour traffic jams around in the city especially on main arterial roads, but that only lasts about an hour. Gwenda yes Nan did have a great day and just to see the look on her face when someone turned up that she hadn’t seen for a while, it was well worth doing, and she hated to just sit and talk while everyone else organised the afternoon tea, but there was too many of us for her to argue with :-) Vonny thanks, and yes I am looking forward to meeting all of the Wattlers that are there, everyone sounds soooo nice on her and I’m sure they are. Laurie, sending hugs to you and Denny’s family. Well I will be gone for a little while, I am going for my walk and of course I will be calling in to see Mum while I’m out. 12 Sleeps. Cheers Sue

Morning Wattlers, Happy Bithday to you Lara, are you doing anything special today? Ron and I went for a drive yesterday to find the venue a young friend is hiring for her wedding in Sept. It's an old, I was going to say Q'lander but it's not as the house is in NSW, in a very small village near Lismore, Dunoon anyone heard of it? took us ages to find the place, better than on the day of the wedding, thats why we did it. Our D in UK is coming home for the occasion, she and the bride are best friends, it'll be so lovely to see Jo again, can't wait for 17th.Sept, thats when she gets here. The wedding's on the 30th. Jo is bringing her young man with her, our first time of meeting him. All the family in Wales plus my sister when she was over in May have met him, they all think he's great, 'good husband material' said Auntie Elsie. We have also been told he wants to formerly ask us for our blessing to the marriage. How romantic is that. Trifley, how are you? taking it easy I hope. Did you say you were seeing your doctor sometime this week? Laurie, my thoughts go to you and your friend's family. Wilson if you look in I hope you are having a great time. Sandra I poped in yesterday quickly before going out didn't have time to reply I wanted to say we also saw Phantom in London but much prefered the production in Sydney and the one in Brisbane. Since I have retired from life's competition, I accommodate myself with complete repetition. I get up each morning, and dust off my wits, pick up my paper and read the 'obits'. Afternoon Wattlers, well all the H***K is done just a roast lamb to cook for tonight and thats it for today. Have to keep an eye on the weather, rain is trying to fall but I put the washing out anyway cause the wind is blowing nicely. Lara, have a wonderful day, hope the family comes up with some great pressies. Laurie, have been thinking of you and your friends family. Once they get over the initial shock and guilt feelings they will know they have done the right thing. It takes a while but I'm sure you are being a great comfort to them. Hi Wattlers, mad Monday again, golly it comes around quick. Today had porridge and yoghurt for lunch. thought it would last the longest. just about to wash it down with caffeine mix. only on the fly by but had to have a squiz. Happy B/day Lara. Thank you to all my dear friends for the birthday wishes I've decided 60 is old enough though and have decide to go back to 59 this year LOl, never mind only as old you're feeling omg that can't be right as I feel 100 sometimes. Another lady sent me a PM message asking about the Wattle club so if she pops in please make her welcome as I know you will her name is Lorriane and I hope she might pop in soon. Lorraine Cable how lovely to hear from you thanks so much for your birthday wishes how are you ? Sue glad to hear Nan's do went well there is nothing like Nan's cooking my Nan's pastry was to die for and we used to look forward to her cherries that she bottled as we never had them at home except when she mistakenly gave us the ones she had done for her self with sachrin in them oh yuk nearly poisoned us LOL. Congratulations Lyn on putting the table together a team effort eh some of mine and Mike's effort at such things have ended in disaster , nearly ended our marriage actually when we put up Clark above ground pool of course it was me not the silly instructions LOL

Hi again Lara, Yes home made puff pastry and cherries yummmy. That is what I had for sweets at Nans Cherry pie, Kentish cherries of course. Shazz did you notice I didnt laugh at you about the trains, I wouldnt do that as no one has seen me on one of those horrible things yet :-( Cheers Sue
