Afternoon all CAN'T handle calamari!! I have a few rules about food. 1. Eat nothing with more limbs than me 2. Eat nothing that has been weeeed through 3. Eat nothing that has been used to filter waste products 4. Eat nothing that has been used to think with There are a few more rules but you might think them a little silly so I wont mention them....lol. It's a bright, sunny day here on the GC. There is a bit of a breeze, which is good as it is drying the washing for Graeme to fold before he goes to work. Aaaahhh, I love housework! I can sit and watch someone do it for hours! I shouldn't laugh. He has been wonderful, it only took me 15 minutes of whingeing this morning before he did the washing...pmsl Lew....sounds like a nice meal but I agree with Mary. You should have had a doggie bag of desert. That would have been nice this arvo with a pot of coffee. Devily....I hope you have a fantastic weekend with your gran. Anna...how's Katherine's cold? Tony...is this going to be a self portrait? A regal ~~~~~wave to you all. I'm going to fitin another short walk before GTraeme goes to work. love Trifley X

Trifley PMSL your rules sound bit like mine although do like kidneys so hoping that was what you meant with that particular rule course I must have dirty mind LOL. Glad you are feeling good and keep it up please . The shower glass and tiles thing first don't mix cleaners as you can end up in hospital from the fumes , I think if its really bad you must get naked and use mask and scrub with Domestos as I had to in boys bathroom when I trusted them to do properly and they hadn't been, so I also go in and spray it myself now before going to bed with shower power and rinse it of in the morning when checking their toilet too because their clean and my clean are slightly different surprise surprise I caught Mike in the ensuite of the van washing his hands ansd I said there is soap and wash bowl on outside tap for you and he said why and I said well justl ook at what you have just done there was dirty water all over the bench top and flicked all up the mirror and he had wiped not properly washed hands on my apricot hand towel which was fresh that morning and it was now putrid , so guess where he is washing hands now and wiping on dark grey hand towel. Big Monster Market at Mission Beach tomorrow its quite good ussually and with fine weather there will be lots of stall holders there they even come down from Port Douglas and from the Tablelands too So hopefully will give the credit card a work out tomorrow been busy gathering cuttings to take down to Brissie for Cassie's garden youjust a small cutting in water here for aweek and its got roots already lots of Stag ferns and the orchirds are growing all over the trees so knicking some of them too and the Bromialds are throwing pups so grabbing them too, and lots of bird of paradise type things too growing wild here, yukkas and lovely maroon type grass es and groundcovers so should have plenty to take back to Brissie for her. going to attempt to paint a picture for her this afternoon send me some positve vibes please Tony will see you all later on Love Lara

Hello everyone Oh Lara - it's so good to have you back! I laughed so much reading about poor Mike having to wash his hands outside. I can just imagine your beautiful apricot handtowel with the grime all over it!! Men - bless them! And of course the mental picture of you scrubbing down the shower screens naked with a mask, and no doubt a snorkel as well, just blows my mind! I'm sure your bright and shining shower screens would put us all to shame!! HOWEVER....what have you been up to on Vonny's thread???? Having picked myself up off the floor after laughing at Lara, I then read Trifley's little food rule gems. I agree Lara - I draw the line at eating anything that anyone has peed through! Oh yukky, yukky, yukky! I do not drink milk and I do not eat porridge or cereal of any kind whatsoever - not because of any fastidious reasons but because I truly hate the taste of them. Glad Graeme is toeing the line Trifley - our men are precious aren't they even if they do mess up the hand towels! Lew - glad you enjoyed your dinner. Pity about the pudding. Devly - enjoy the family get together - hope you dig up lots of dirt for the family history. Princess DIY - hope the quilt show is great. Fancy being allowed to take time off. Did you have to have a doctor's certificate? I don't know about nail polish remover for the shower screen - you'd have to have a dreadfully big bottle of it and you'd probably pass our from the fumes. Unless of course you get on your mask and snorkel like Lara. Just don't get the nail polish remover on any delicate areas is all I can say! Katherine seems to be doing nicely - she had a practice with her flute teacher and accompanist last night and they are pleased with her - she is in 4 sections next week. She is just 16 and has to compete against 17 and 18 year old flautists so it's a big ask - they are a year or two ahead of her in their music studies. However, it's all good practice and helps her to gain confidence. Wishing you success with your shower screen Vonny - you certainly have a wealth of advice to choose from! Let me know how you get on and I might try it! We've had ours for 14 years now and I think the only solution is to 'buy new' as Chris's mother was famous for saying! We have cast our yes vote for the recycled water - Toowoomba is so conservative though - I've a bad feeling the no vote will win. We should know by 7.30 this evening if the result is clear cut. I think everyone will have to drink recycled water in the future - our rainfall will not sustain our usage. Katherine is a bit dirty that she is not allowed to vote because as she says, it is her generation that will have to live with our decision. She would vote yes. Here's wishing us luck with the Lotto tonight - keeping everything crossed! Love to all Anna

Lew and Jood3, thank you. I'll put CLR on the shoping list and ask hubby if he has some acetone (nail polish remover :) just out of curiosity! I did try vinegar by itself and also lemon juice. Always on the lookout for new ideas. If I had been a good girl it wouldn't have happened but I let it go too far :( My friend just has a scraper thingy and has trained her family to scrap the water off so it never dries on the glass. She says she never has any problems but I keep forgetting to buy one. I also have the second older bathroom to clean now that the kids have moved! Jill, my sister also has that etching problem - maybe it is the typr of glass used. Good luck with CLR. Trifley, I like your food rules :) Vonny

Good Afternoon one and all, Lovely day today, got all the washing done early and it has been blowing on the line all day. Must fetch it in before it gets damp again. Sophie is still very much under the weather and feeling sorry for her self. I'm a bit worried because the vet said we should see some improvement within 24 hours. Jill, Lucy is my cattle dog, and what makes you think she is spoilt. At this moment she is laid on the bed watching me. ( my office is in the spare bedroom ) Lara, its good to have you back with us. You sound to be having a nice holiday hope the weather is being good to you. Don't worry my brain is a bit like a sieve also. Lew, glad you enjoyed the meal, but I am disappointed that you didn't have dessert. Your letting the side down girl. Trifley, you are sounding a bit more like the queen that we know and love. Will Greame be starching his shirts? LOL Laurie, I hope that you have some better news from your friends today. That doesn't sound right, but I think you will know what I mean. Sandra, I hope the you get some resolution with Telstra. Maybe you should check out the prices of other providers and see if it would be cheaper for you to pay out your contract. I don't think they actually charge you the full amount owing. Unfortunately, I don't have a choice, we can only get Telstra at the moment. I did ask them what would happen if I moved to somewhere that didn't have broadband before the contact was due and they surmised that I wouldn't have to pay up. It does work out very expensive to use extra MB though doesn't it? Princes DIY, hope that you enjoyed the quilt fair, don't work too hard tomorrow will you. Devily, I hope you have a lovely weekend with your nan and you get some stories for your tree. I just tried some of that orange power on our shower. I sprayed and left it and it seems to have work, but it will need doing a couple of times. We need to be careful what we use because we have our own water treatment system and it can get upset with chemicals. Stange food groups. I was told by someone once that they wouldn't eat anything from an animals mouth but he loved eggs. LOL Seriously, I am not a seafood lover, don't mind the occasional prawn and fish and chips as long as it is nice fish, but if I never ate it again it wouldn't worry me. Don't like kidney but liver is fine occasionally. Never tried brains or sweetbreads and don't think I will. Love all vegetables even brussel sprouts. Where is Rebs????? Not much more to tell you, be back tomorra Love SuzyQ
