Little fluffy yellow duck

Little fluffy yellow duck Report 26 Jul 2006 11:49

Lew, we used to have a strange cat also. Nearly 30 years ago we used to take Ben (our son) for a walk around the block. OH would push the pram, the dog, a large German Shepherd, would walk between us and the cat would bring up the rear. We would get about three quarters of the way down the road, and the cat would take a short cut through to the next street and wait for us to come around. You see, there were a couple of dogs a little further down and she didn't want to meet them. She was a tortoiseshell called Sinda. Pam

Yellow, Yellow. Yellow. How are you all? Im back from my outing. For the ones that was talking this afternoon you will know where I've been. We went to have a look at the house our Landlord has just put the offer in for, and we have first say in if we want it or not. We went and had a look, and was quiet impressed with the house, it is in a quiet area, and yes Laurie there is a bit of floor space to put visitors lol. There is built ins in the 3 bedrooms, a 2 way access to the toilet from the bathroom or through the laundry, the laundry also has a door to outside, so if someone is in the bathroom you can get to the toilet from outside. He is still looking incase he gets a house a bit closer to where we are now. If that is the case we can have the option of either, but we said if nothing else comes up we will be happy to move there. There is a 60 day settlement period and when the people who own it at the moment, move out our landlord is going to paint it before we can move in. Trifley a big hello to you, hope you are resting up, and being looked after. Lara, I would be a bit like you and not think of things like that. Actually I didnt know you could use your mobile phone to connect a puta to the internet. So you learn something every day. Is it very expensive to do that? Anyway I am going to have a look at all the songs you have been singing. Cheers Sue

Tie a Yellow Ribbon Tony Orlando & Dawn I'm comin' home, I've done my time Now I've got to know what is and isn't mine If you received my letter telling you I'd soon be free Then you'll know just what to do If you still want me If you still want me Whoa, tie a yellow ribbon 'round the old oak tree It's been three long years Do ya still want me? If I don't see a ribbon round the old oak tree I'll stay on the bus Forget about us Put the blame on me If I don't see a yellow ribbon round the old oak tree Bus driver, please look for me 'cause I couldn't bear to see what I might see I'm really still in prison And my love, she holds the key A simple yellow ribbon's what I need to set me free I wrote and told her please Whoa, tie a yellow ribbon round the old oak tree It's been three long years Do ya still want me? If I don't see a ribbon round the old oak tree I'll stay on the bus Forget about us Put the blame on me If I don't see a yellow ribbon round the old oak tree Now the whole damned bus is cheerin' And I can't believe I see A hundred yellow ribbons round the old oak tree. Fluffy yellow duck - we remember all the words! As if we'd google!! The house is sounding good Devly. You'll just have to play the waiting game for a while. Sounds good. I guess Trifley is watching House - bitter twisted specimen of humanity that he is. You'd think she'd have had enough of hopitals by now! How good is her news about pathology results. OK - altogether now ... 'Tie a yellow ribbon round the old oak tree...' Bottoms up:>) Anna Ooooooh! Lara! You tell 'em luv ....!!!!!!

And now a word from the master himself . . . Henry Lawson 1910 I saw it in the days gone by, When the dead girl lay at rest, And the wattle and the native rose We placed upon her breast. I saw it in the long ago (And I've seen strong men die), And who, to wear the wattle, Hath better right than I? I've fought it through the world since then, And seen the best and worst, But always in the lands of men I held Australia first. I wrote for her, I fought for her, And when at last I lie, Then who, to wear the wattle, has A better right than I?

Good evening Wafflers . . . I see the sun has shone on the Wattle thread . . . . I missed coming on earlier, because Ray met a neighbour in the lift when he arrived home from work - her hubby is out of town so the lovely Ray invited her for tea. Was good company, but he will wonder at lunch time tomorrow why he has such a dull meal - alas no leftovers! That Henry Lawson poem I posted before 'Wattle' is a special one for me - we always recited it at the Anzac ceremony when I was a kid. The good news keeps a rolling in Trifley, and yes - you are much loved !!! Devily, you can use your mobile to link up your puter, Ray has a bluetooth connection for his puter and mobile. . . . but that is not what Lara was talking about! PMSL Before she left home she organised that method for her connection - but it didn't work, so she has had a land line put onto her van so she can get her Wattle dose. ROFPMSL The phone that she was thinking she had to charge to use the puter was her cordless phone for the landline . . . . tee hee - I though it odd - but she assured me she needed the phone to dial out . . . teee heee OH Lara . . . !!!! Once the lazy sunshine shone on the lazy tree, Smiling, the tree asked why are you looking at me, because you are so lucky the sun replied, you cover the ground with leaves of yellow, red and brown but you oh sun, the tree replied, cover the seas and touch the tide. And so I do said the sun, and laughing gleefully they returned to their fun. cheers luv Laurie

Jood - son asks what brand is your mouse and do you have it close to your base station (wireless receiver thing). You can reset by the little button on the mouse and the base station. Try that and see if you get any improvement
