~~~~~~~~~~to Gwenda, you sound tired. Hope you have a good night's sleep. Yvette you have a genes message from me. Thought I had to go out tonight. Just checked my dates as I was practically going out the door and.......... I don't have to go till next week! :) Seeing as it's cold and wet I'm so glad. John said good! We can nail the second plank on the other side!!!!!!!!!!! I HAVE HAD A GREAT IDEA. Well, I thought it was great last night when I was almost asleep. Why don't we start an Aussie historical story where those who want to, can have their own character??? Some of you will remember Grotingham Regis which was great fun and there are various other stories on general. I figure we can borrow the history from our ancestors and set the scene and have a ball. What do you all think??? I don't want to start it or be the narrator figure as I already have threads and too many by one person is just greedy. But I know we have great story tellers on here and very quick minds. Soooooooooooo.........awaiting feedback. Vonny
Vonny. The best thread I have seen for a good laugh was a takeoff of a newbee asking for help on the boards and starting of with so little info it was so funny...All made up and not personal.. everyone just added to it and it went on for ages and every entry had me in stitches.. It started with something like I am looking for my grandfather who lived with his old mother in Kent and they said he was a farm labourer.. can anyone help me find him...it just went on from there with everyone adding ridiculous bits..It got to a stage where htey said he was a prisoner in jail so I added he might have been sent to OZ in a convict ship and his name was now probably Dingo Jones.. do you remember it.. it went on for ages and just go added to bit by bit..really funny.. Its just a thought.... Glad to see everyone on the ball tonight,, we must have had a good weekend... See ya later Love Maryxxx
Evening all Anna, are you still getting rain. According to the news tonight, storms and rain are heading your way, then to the coast. I have been watching lightning out the back door. If Melbin is the best place to live, why are they all migrating up here especially winter months! mmmmm How are you Laurie? Hugs, Hugs and more Hugs Hi Wilson, have a good holiday and enjoy. Would love to go to WA. One day !!!!!!! Did you get the hire company sorted ? Lew, I have had 2 Kias. Would recommend them anytime. Will get another when I decide to buy. Also where I have my car serviced, the manager there said the Getz is a really good liitle car. I think he said it has been 'car of the year' a few times. Jill, When I heard about that tragic accident today I was glad I wasn't on the road down that way. Traffic started to get through about 6.30 tonight. 16 km of stopped traffic. Not a lot of options to get to the Gold Coast I don't think. Mary, what wonderful news. You will love the heated pool. We have a heated pool at the aquatic centre here on Bribie. Do hydrotherapy twice a week with our local physio. Vonny, can you send me the video at the beginning of Aug please. Will have my download from the first of the month. Hi Queenie, did your nephew and fiance call in today, as well as Jill. How ya feeling? Have waffled on enough. Be back later Pam
IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM THE QUEEN: 'I don't want to be on the line too long and miss calls from my rels so could you please pass on the good news to the Wattlers? The surgeon said the path report showed NO involvement of the arm pit lymph nodes. At this stage it appears that the little bastard was confined to the breast............Trifley does a most refined 'Yahoo' at this point. I'll have to have an Irish bone scan....'to be sure, to be sure' (this said in an awful accent)....and also a small course of radio-therapy on the chest area. This is also to cover all bases. The drain tube comes out on Wednesday and then I can go home.....(unrefined) Yiiipppeee! To the loving arms of my family and REAL coffee! Jill from Ipswich came in to visit me today, she even wore a yellow blouse and a sprig of the Wattle she made for the Gold Coast meet. Aren't these mad Wattlers a fantastic bunch of people? I'm sure my speedy recooperation has been in no small way due to the support I've received from the mad lot. Please pass on my love and appreciation to the Wonderful Wafflers Love to all of you lot, too. Trifley X' Well, the Power of the Wattlers is proven!!!! Lew Lew xxx PS Have just spoken with her Majesty - One Happy Gal
Evening Wattlers Well I have had a busy day as I expected. I actually cancelled my hair appointment until tomorrow for a lamb roast and golden syrup dumplings at my friends place that I had to go to before my appointment. That is terrific news about Trifley, and like Jood, the next person who rings or visits Trifley can they please send my wishes and let her know how glad we are with the result. Lew it is a pity that you cant come to Sydney, but after all said and done, family must come first. Vonny I do think it is a good idea having a story, for those who are clever and artistic at doing those type of things, I will enjoy reading though, Im sure, if it gets up and running. Mary ooooh you will be getting excited now, it will soon be here and you will be in your unit, and all before the Casino meet hint hint :-)))) Thankyou for all who left a birthday wish for Tamika, I will show her all the messages in the morning before she goes to school. Well thats about it for now, hello to everyone who I havent mentioned, hope everyone is fine. 19 Sleeps, Cheers Sue
I bin a norty girl :(((( I was cooking some crumpets, and turned the stove on to thicken up some tomatoes I had stewed (for breakfast) - didnt realise, but the toaster was resting on the back which I had turned on accidentally instead of the front. .. Naturally all the bottom has melted - thank god it hadnt got to the cord, as I grabbed the toaster to move it in a hurry. . Buggar - now I have to but a new toaster AND a new printer :( But I'm alive :) Jood
I know Tony, I was sooo lucky. .. Actually I didn't pick up the cord, just the toaster, and I think the cord just missed being burnt - but don't worry - I'm tossing it out. .. I'll find some other way of cooking my toast tomorrow. .. Bumsoddy was looking after me. :) Jood
What wondeful news from our Queen! Absolutely fantastic! So happy for you Trifley. Big hugs for you and Graeme and Mark. Proper coffee is in sight! I'm just home from the eisteddfod - Katherine's school concert band competed. They played beautifully but some of their players have chicken pox which meant they were lacking in the bass dept - no tuba for example. So they didn't get a place but they can be very proud of their performance. It's still raining here - it's a wonderful sound. Chris has a coffee waiting for me so will say goodnight. Love Anna PS Vonny - I lthink that's a great idea about the Oz historical story but why don't you start it as you know from the previous thread how to go about it. I'll be happy to join in if you start it - unless there is someone else who is busting to do it!
