Evening everyone, a very exciting day at the footy, we finally won by 1 point. I always thought I was quite a quiet person until today, the lady in front of me turned around and asked if I could possibly barrack any louder...lol Probably explains why I have a raw throat and no voice. Well it was exciting....... Thanks Pam for the update on our Queen Very cold and wet here tonight so wont be long for bed Flakey |

Hello Wafflers Thanks Little Duck for coming all the way from Bribie Island just to visit litle old me. Favourite nephew `(David) and his fiance`/partner (Lynne) were here when Duck arrived and we all had a good chat. David & Lynne are also amazed at the love and support I'm getting from you lot. Pam.....I hope you weren't involved in that accident. Were you just passing? Thanks, everyne, for all the good vibes.....I'm sure they are helping me heal. Had a lovely phone call from Joodles this morning. It brightened my day considerably....thanks my friend. I got the jab in the bum last night and was reluctant to go to sleep and miss the happy feeling. It was about as good as 2 martoonies. However I felt a little foggy and hung-over this morning. Perhaps it was the fact that the staff in this place wake the patients at such an un-godly time. 6am for antibiotics and obs and then 6:50am for breakfast. Who in their right mind has breakfast at that time on a Sunday??? Hospitals are NOT the best place to get any rest. They jab you in the bum so you can sleep then wake you up to see if your alive.....strange. I must be feeling better.....I'm starting to gripe.....lol Vonny......peeing on copper nails???? Strange. Laurie....I only skimmed the thread yesterday but Duck filled me in on your friend, Denny. I'm so very sorry....I'll be thinking of you all at this difficult time. I'm going to try to settle now and get some sleep. Will try to catch up tomorrow. Love Trifley X |

Evening Wattlers Well I have had a busy day today doing FH stuff, actually went to visit a relation with another cousin of mine and we came home with a fair bit of information and a lot of pics of older rellies to add to our tree. Pam thank you for your update on Trifley, I bet she was pleased to see you. Anna drats I have only just come on here and missed your city on TV. Jude 2 pmsl, I know the feeling only too well I bet your thoat feels that horrible rough and hoarse sensation you get from yelling too much, should have sat with the cheer squad then no one would have asked you if you could be any louder lol. Anyway congrats on the win. Tamika got an extra special birthday present, I told you about how she had the accident with her phone, while on the chairlift that goes across the Gorge, she found the phone but not the battery. Well a very good friend took her to the shops to see if the phone was ok when a battery was put in if it worked or not. Well it didnt work, and she came home with a new phone that was bought for her birthday tomorrow by our friend. Ok not much else to report, going to be busy tomorrow as I am getting hair cut ready for next weekend and also my little trip OS, lol and also updating my files with all the new info I have. 20 sleeps, Cheers Sue |

Trifley - peeNing lol. N makes all the difference, but your excused. Lovely to see you online. Most of you should have a photo of the boat by now but if you didn't and you want one just message me and I'll send tomorrow. Anna - saw your town on telly. What a nice lady your mayor is - I liked her. Didn't like your richest man very much but, I must say, I don't like recycled water to drink. Lots of Asian countries (and American ones) have it but they all buy bottled water for drinking. Are you allowed tanks?? We put in the biggest ones we were allowed for the garden but we will connect them to the house if we have to. Our water restrictions have eased since our dams came back on line - nearly all of them were put out of commission by the Bush Fires. Also, we have a new treatment plant to clean dirty water (just silt and stuff) and pump it into a large dam near Queanbeyan for future use if needed. We pay higher water rates now though. off for an early-ish night. Minding Grand D tomorrow so her mummy can go and teach others how to take over her job, which she is leaving on Friday. Night all ~~~~~~~~Vonny |

Evening. We spent a lovely afternoon with our kids and grandkids. My family is growing,( 14 of us now ) and with my kids, spouses and grandkids the house is well and truly used. Before i met Barb, she lived on her own ( Divorced ) for 13 years, and used to tell me her only excitement for the weekend was to go out to freinds places and admire and join in other families fun times, but now to sit back and watch her play mum and grandma with my girls, she is really enjoying her time, and fusses over them. Why god created children and then grandchildren. To those of us who have children in our lives, whether they are our own, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, or students...here is something to make you chuckle. Whenever your children are out of control, you can take comfort from the thought that even God's omnipotence did not extend to his own children After creating heaven and earth, God created Adam and Eve. And the first thing he said was 'DON'T!' 'Don't what?' Adam replied. 'Don't eat the forbidden fruit.' God said. 'Forbidden fruit? We have forbidden fruit? Hey Eve..we have forbidden fruit!!!!!' 'No Way!' 'Yes way!' 'Do NOT eat the fruit!' said God. 'Why' 'Because I am your Father and I said so!' God replied, wondering why he hadn't stopped creation after making the elephants. A few minutes later, God saw his children having an apple break and he was ticked! 'Didn't I tell you not to eat the fruit?' God asked. 'Uh huh,' Adam replied. 'Then why did you?' said the Father. 'I don't know,' said Eve. 'She started it!' Adam said 'Did not!' 'Did too!' 'DID NOT!' Having had it with the two of them, God's punishment was that Adam and Eve should have children of their own. Thus the pattern was set and it has never changed. BUT THERE IS REASSURANCE IN THE STORY! If you have persistently and lovingly tried to give children wisdom and they haven't taken it, don't be hard on yourself. If God had trouble raising children, what makes you think it would be a piece of cake for you? THINGS TO THINK ABOUT! 1. You spend the first two years of their life teaching them to walk and talk. Then you spend the next sixteen telling them to sit down and shut up. 2. Grandchildren are God's reward for not killing your own children. 3. Mothers of teens now know why some animals eat their young. 4. Children seldom misquote you. In fact, they usually repeat word for word what you shouldn't have said. 5. The main purpose of holding children's parties is to remind yourself that there are children more awful than your own. 6. We childproofed our homes, but they are still getting in. ADVICE FOR THE DAY: Be nice to your kids. They will choose your nursing home one day. AND FINALLY: IF YOU HAVE A LOT OF TENSION AND YOU GET A HEADACHE, DO WHAT IT SAYS ON THE ASPIRIN BOTTLE: 'TAKE TWO ASPIRIN' AND 'KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN'!!!!! Have a great day to-morrow everyone. Nite, nite Tony Oz....:>))) .......one warn out grandad. |

Evening all Trifley - congratulations for getting the number, What a clever little Queenie you are! I'm so pleased Fluffy Ducky was able to visit you. Well done Ducky and thanks for the update on the Queen. Any word on when you are going home yet Queen? You must be feeling better if you're turning into a grumpy old woman! Tony - loved the jokes about children. We can all relate to those! You didn't tell me if it's my turn for Lotto this week. Vonny - looks like you've got a few hours ahead of you on that boat. My OH was suitably impressed. Glad you liked our Mayor. She is a bit of a rough diamond - she never pretends to be anything else - but she has a heart of gold and has done so much for the youth of our town. She really believes in recycling and it's going to make or break her politically. As for the millionaire and past mayor - he is very generous and has also done so much for this town. He left school at 14 and started in the building industry and has worked very hard to get where he is today. However he is against anything the current council proposes on principle - I think he feels that this mayor and these town councillors are not a patch on the council when he was mayor. I feel so sorry for those people who are going to lose their farms in the Mary River valley. Off to bed. Sleep tight everyone. Love Anna |

Good morning all, Tony, glad you had a nice day with the big kids and little kids, and loved all your anecdotes. Vonny, don't they have strange names for working on boats - peening, careening etc. Gwenda, sorry you have to work on your day off - think of it as extra spending money when you come up to the Casino! So far 10 girls and 1 oh are down for the 12 Aug meet. (that includes Leigh who is somewhere in Australia!) I had the weirdest dreams last night - not that I can remember any of them in the morning ! Hope you all have a nice day, and Trifley - it was really great chatting to you - am looking forward to meeting you for real. Jood |

Morning all, Nice one Tony :) Although I felt very sorry for my daughter yesterday - she was so tired due to lack of sleep. Her hubby isn't coping well either (I must say he is a model hubby, cooks, cleans, bathes grand-d and plays with her) but can't go without sleep. Poor daughter was having a small moan yesterday and I just grinned at her and told her she was spoilt!! She should have read the mummy manual a bit more closely. Gwenda, at least it's a wet day today so being inside isn't too bad. Going off to do Nanna duty today - she is sooooo responsive now and such a delight. Catch you in the arvo ~~~~~~~~~Vonny |
