Hey Fitz, I suppose you would say the site is mainly UK, but there are a lot of Canadians and Aussies on it. .. At this time of year (our winter, your summer) - the time difference is worse, but once we go on daylight saving and you go off it, the time difference is much more sociable. We are a friendly lot - so stay with us. Can I help with your fhistory - or is it mainly canadian based, in which case, I couldnt help, even tho my own ggf was born in St Catherines, Niagara on the Lake. Jood |

Its ok Fitz - Im used to everyone singing Hey Jude - or saying Judy-Judy-Judy lol Now Polish ancestry I know nothing about, but I had a quick look for Kowaleski and found 2 living in Sydney, the only two in Australia. By the sound of it, Kowaleski is a newer version of the name. It does sound vaguely familiar however. I don't envy you trying to look for so many different spellings of the name!! pmsl Jood |

One for our JulieCat: Old Mr. Johnson had troubles of his own, He had a yellow cat which wouldn't leave its home; He tried and he tried to give the cat away, He gave it to a man going far, far away. But the cat came back, the very next day The cat came back, they thought he was a gonna But the cat came back, it just couldn't stay away. The man around the corner swore he'd kill the cat on sight, He loaded up his shotgun with nails and dynamite; He waited and he waited for the cat to come around, 97 pieces of the man is all they found But the cat came back, the very next day The cat came back, they thought he was a gonna But the cat came back, it just couldn't stay away. He gave it to a man going up in a balloon, He told him for to take it to the man in the moon, The balloon came down about 90 miles away, Where he is now, well I dare not say. But the cat came back, the very next day The cat came back, they thought he was a gonna But the cat came back, it just couldn't stay away. He gave it to a little boy with a dollar note, Told him for to take it up the river in a boat; They tied a rope around its neck, it must have weighed a pound, Now they dragged the river for a little boy that's drowned. But the cat came back, the very next day The cat came back, they thought he was a gonna But the cat came back, it just couldn't stay away. He gave it to a man going way out west, Told him for to take it to the one he loved the best; First the train hit the curve, then it jumped the rail, Not a soul was left behind to tell the gruesome tale. But the cat came back, the very next day The cat came back, they thought he was a gonna But the cat came back, it just couldn't stay away. The cat it had some company one night out in the yard, Someone threw a boot-jack, and they threw it mighty hard, It caught the cat behind the ear, she thought it rather slight, When along came a brick-bat and knocked the cat out of sight. But the cat came back, the very next day The cat came back, they thought he was a gonna But the cat came back, it just couldn't stay away. Away across the ocean they did send the cat at last, Vessel only out a day and making the water fast; People all began to pray, the boat began to toss, A great big gust of wind came by and every soul was lost. But the cat came back, the very next day The cat came back, they thought he was a gonna But the cat came back, it just couldn't stay away. On a telegraph wire, sparrows sitting in a bunch, The cat was feeling hungry, thought she'd like em for a lunch. Climbing softly up the pole, and when she reached the top, Put her foot upon the electric wire, which tied her in a knot. But the cat came back, the very next day The cat came back, they thought he was a gonna But the cat came back, it just couldn't stay away. The cat was a possessor of a family of its own, With seven little kittens, 'til there came a cyclone; Blew the houses all apart and tossed the cat around, The air was full of kittens, and not a one was ever found. But the cat came back, the very next day The cat came back, they thought he was a gonna But the cat came back, it just couldn't stay away' You won't be able to stay away for long! Lew Lew xxx |

Morning Wattlers, Good luck Trifley, ((((Hugs))) and best wishes coming your way. Hi Fitz, lots of Australians on this thread, and we only say nice things about each other here lol. sometimes you might need a bit of Ozzie slang to know what is actually being said lol. Cold day here, but at least the sun is out. Just got back from having a hair cut, why do the hair dressers always put so much stuff in your hair that you don't look like yourself until you get home and wash it out. Have a good day all, Ooops i just wrote have a good lay lol. Take care Wilson |

Hiya Lew, glad to see your sparking on all 8 cyclinders . . . luv the song - me mummy used to sing that one - I think she liked it because when you live around farms that are inundated with stray cats you like to think of nasty little things to get rid of them. I'm talking big numbers here - sometimes there would be 30 cats hanging around the hay stack. (the meeces was hanging out in the hay). Washings done, the lovely Ray has gone to work, and I have a little pig pen around me - not the least interested in getting it sorted. cheers luv Laurie |
