I am at a loss here and am in complete disbelief as it has been confirmed that CANCER took my Daddy from me and no-one knew he had it!! It was widespread in his body and he had no chance of survival!! The only positive thing about this is he didn't suffer and went very peacefully. I am counting my blessings that I had 6 wonderful months being with him and him alone and I am so pleased i gave everything up for him!! His friends say that he was lucky to have me as a daughter BUT the truth is I was the lucky one..... He made me who I am and I am very proud to say I am my Daddy's daughter!!

Diana, I am so very sorry. That would explain, maybe, the pains he had been having, and reactions to medicine. That he did not suffer at the end is a blessing. Take care, Joy

How awful that a desease you are fighting so hard against, gets up and kicks you in the teeth like that. For your Daddy I am thankful that he went peacefully and without 'suffering' from the disease. I know that will not in anyway ease the pain of your loss. Jacky xx

Hi Diana, It's a terrible shock when a parent dies suddenly...I know because it happened with both my parents - and they were fairly young (60 and 68). However It must be of some comfort to you that your darling daddy didn't suffer - whatever the ultimate reason for his death. It's surprising though, because we all think that cancer brings pain and suffering, perhaps that isn't always the case? And think of all the cash you have helped raise for research into that very disease. You are a credit to your father. xxx Dee x
