Yes, do you know where Marks and Sparks is? If you do, face it - then stick out your right hand - turn towards it - walk past Monsoons, over a little bridge that crosses the river Gade, look right, and there is Starbucks.........was going to PM you in the next couple of days. Just saw thread about June from Preston, and it has left me a bit shocked.......... |

Sorry havent been to Hemel for ages (apart from Hospital). I presume it's Debenhams end . I'm sure I'll find it. Penny It is shocking about June isn't it . For her at least she went doing something she enjoys & didn't endure illness - (don't know how old she was) too shocking for the ones left behind though. I'm listening to football whilst helping little one do his homework. Eldest is at a party 4 - 6 - good timing!!! |

Grove Hill, Wiccan.........Hemel has changed quite a lot in the last few years, but we still have the funny roundabout.....its even worse now because they have added a new exit because of the shopping precinct.... |

I've moved away too - Debenhams end of the Marlows? was the co-op end in my time, when The town had a proper market and 2 hospitals!! I remember the first day the magic roundabout opened ( i wasnt quite driving but not far off) and Chaos followed!! Do any of you remeber the over-the road-tube that went up on Boots side and came down again by Timothy Whites?? Jess |

Let us know when you are next in Hemel and we will meet up.... The roller disco - yes......I went there with OH and three kids......I was wearing a skirt, but the older two persueded me to have a go - game for anything, me........ I thought, how difficult will that be, used to be great on skates, I can do it........son one side daughter the other, great......then the little bleeps left me, so I staggered round, but keeping upright because I didn't want to show my knickers. Then a whistle blew, and everybody turned and went the opposite way!!!! what's that about then.......so one of the helpers came over, and helped me round. Had the biggest bruises the next day, but went up in the kids estimation for having a go. Yes....I remember it..... |
