well Malc we are half way there, Compromise, she lets you have a dog, you get up early, wash shave and take dog out (you may find dog wont wait for you to wash and shave first so you may have to do that when you come back). LOL LL

Malc, How long is mums carer there? and why would it matter if you were there? If you lived closer you could walk with me and my dogs, I am always on my own when I take em out but get talking to lots of people especially during these summer months we have had. Thats an Idea!!!! get a dog then you could walk it. And who knows you might meet a nice young lady. :) LL

Malc its very difficult for people who are carers, there first priority is the person they care for, Personally I know how you feel cos my Mum was the main career for my Dad, she always put Dad first. Stopped going to the hair dressers etc, cos she was devoted to the one she loved, keep up the good work, when she’s not there you will have loads of time and you will reflect and not regret anything

Oh Malc, As Brian has said you have ben depressed lately, so maybe your mum thinks you need a bit of a shove. Your mum cares about you as I am sure you do her. And, wouldn't you rather her tell you you are slipping than an outsider? You have a loeing, careing personality, maybe you should use some of that careing side of yourself to spend more time on yourself? I think your great. Best wishes LL

Malc At least your Mum cares enough to be bothered to have a go at you. Sounds like a bit of self discipline is needed. Try setting yourself a little routine, and stick to it. I bet your Mum would be only too pleased to try and help you if you ask her. Good luck, coz I think you seem like a really kind and thoughtful person. Thinking of you. PP xx

hi malc, it's not laziness on your part, it's more likely to be down to depression... force yourself to wash, shave, brush teeth, and then put on some nice after-shave, even when you have no intention of going out. you will feel better about yourself, more confident within yourself the health care website that i'm involved with, has a great forum, just like this one... with lot's of nice ladies :o) all going through similar problems, if you would like the addy, just send me a pm. best wishes....bryan.

Mums had a real go at me for not shaving regulary or going to bed a a 'normal' time or getting up at a 'normal time not cleaning my teeth twice a day drinking when I shouldn't be and getting fat. Best of it is she is right. Any ideas how to get back into a routine??
